Subject AN URGENT CALL TO AWAMI LEAGUE MEMBERS ABROAD
Government of Fakhruddin and Moeenuddin is doing nothing but fiasco with malevolence intention in the name of lifting ban on parlour politics.
Heavily televised chief adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed Sunday's address to the nation that the ban on politics had been relaxed was nothing but a hoax and eyewash
CG chief Fakhruddin intentionally tactfully did not mention that the lifting ban on indoor politics is only for Dhaka city. It would be appropriate if his office called his speech as address to Dhaka city dwellers rather then calling it Fakhruddin's address to the nation.
This deceitful tasteless Sunday joke of Moeenuddin EFakhruddin and Moinul overshadowed peoples rejoice in a day apart on Monday when people learn that it was noting but another shambles act of this government. The government later said in a notice that the parlour politics had been allowed for the capital.
Many political leaders in divisional headquarters went to open their offices Monday morning as chief adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed did not mention in Sunday's address to the nation that the ban on politics had been relaxed only for Dhaka. Police bared political activist across the country to enter their office making the breaking news that lift on ban is is nothing but just an eyewash.
It not only ended there but went further. Barrister Moinul Hosein, the talkative law and information ministry adviser outlined some new rule which bolster the joke into cruelty.
The government will allow only 50 political activists to attend a meeting on designated place. If more then 50 people want to attend a political meeting then party has to get permission 48 hours prior to the meeting. Political parties can not use microphone to conduct their meeting.
Sunday speech to the nation (?) of Fakhruddin lifting ban on politics and afterward outlined subsequent laws, it is obvious that activities prior to Sunday was more open then now. Lifting ban will actually curtail what political organizations were enjoying for last few months. Almost all indoor political activities of Mannan Bhauiya had more then 100 +, Brig. Hannan Shah's indoor politics gathered more then 50 people at any given time. Now defunct BNP General Secretary Mannan Bhauiya even used microphone in his last showdown meeting contesting newly appointed BNP General Secretary Khondokar Delwar Hussain. Surely no one should forget about motorbike rally of DGFI authorized newly formed political party.
There is no political party in Bangladesh which has less then 100 plus Central Executive Committee members then how a political party could convene its central committee meeting making serious decision on national and organizational level?
Why CG is doing this? They are doing it so intruders rented by Gen. Moeen's DGFI from different political organization can create some hue and cry to give CG's minus policies a ground.
· Pressure political parties to go into talk with Election Commission
· Allow government brokers inside the political party to carry their agenda in the name of reform to give government minus theory a shape and validity.
· Formulate a new political system which will enable backers of this government to come in the front line now or in near future.
· Complete the break-up of major political parties and create tension, chaos, confusion and frustration among baseline party workers.
· Finalize a complete collapse of pro-liberation front led by Bangladesh Awami League which was known as Fourteen Party Alliance or later introduced as Grand Alliance.
· Formulate a consortium/syndicate of new, old, Islamist, disintegrating opportunist political figures aiming to win national election 2008 with the help of Caretaker Government of Moeenuddin and Fakhruddin.
What members of Bangladesh Awami League should do?
WE MUST ACT IMMIDIATLY AND MAKE AN ALL-OUT EFOORT TO DO FOLLOWING
1. Initiate a resolute intensive effort to contact district level Awami League leaders
2. Initiate contact with district level workers of Awami League
3. Initiate contact with Central Committee members of Awami League
4. Initiate contact with Presidium members of Awami League
5. Initiate contact with leaders and workers of fourteen party pro liberation forces
Demand following:
· Bangladesh Awami League must remain united in all circumstances
· Gap between workers and leaders must meet with consensus
· United Awami League must prevail and defeat all conspiracy and stay united and resolute
· Awami League must make an unyielding demand, freedom of Sheikh Hasina
· Awami League must make an unyielding demand that government withdraw all falls charges against its party president Sheikh Hasina.
· Awami League must make an unyielding demand that government frees all Awami League leaders and workers who has been arrested not on corruption charges or falsely accused corruption charges with hidden agenda.
· Awami League must make an unyielding demand, freeing all political prisoners
· Awami League must make an unyielding demand of complete withdrawal of any and all ban on politics
· Awami League must make an unyielding demand on lifting emergency from the country
· Awami League workers and leaders must make every effort so that conspirator government agents could not do the damage they intend to do, but remain extremely cautious and careful so that unnecessary name calling, unnecessary humiliation, unnecessary splitting up among leaders and workers does not take place in any level of party structure.
· We must not allow distrust among our top leaders and workers and be tolerant and respectful.
· Awami League must make an unyielding all out measure to keep a solid relation with members of pro independence fourteen party alliance.
· Awami League must take fourteen party alliance leaders into solid confidence and craft consultation method on all national issue.
This is just an outline of an appeal that we can make; please add other things as deemed necessary. Members of Bangladesh Awami League abroad are in an exceptionally unique position to formulate pressure and create consensus among leaders and workers across the country as its members comes from all corners of Bangladesh. Followers of Awami League abroad has influential role on their representing district. I believe, if well-wisher of Awami League across the globe takes right measure then we will be very much able to influence the outcome and throttle government conspiracy against our beloved organization. EVERY WELL WISHER OF BANGLADESH AWAMI LEAGUE MUST ACT NOW and take measure to plan their course in this historic turning point of Bangladesh politics, you just can not wait for someone to come to your rescue or to lead. You and only YOU can change the fate of our beloved organization from a catastrophic disaster.
