Professor Roy,
I could understand if Dr. Sheikh might have missed your participation in the
Campaign; he was let us say detained at the time. Those of us who were
involved in the IHEU component of the Campaign were and continue to be
appreciative of your efforts --- let me say it more directly -- outright
courage speaking out and in leading public demonstrations. As the work
piled up I often thought if Dr. Roy can do that, I can at least do this.
Let me say that while I would have been well satisfied if Dr. Shikh had
quietly lived his life I would have been pleased with the outcome of the
Campaign, but that he contributes his scholarship to the secular community
....
