[ALOCHONA] Re: Fwd: Chief Justice Ruhul Amin - A Jamaati ideolog?

Dr. Omar,

Few months ago I posted the following message which was based on news
articles of that time on Jamaati corruption, and based on simple
facts and truth.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alochona/message/8689
http://amadershomoy.com/news.php?id=210490&sys=3

Jamaat was the major partner of BNP. Even if we accept that Jamaat
remained honest during their rule for the sake of argument, did
Jamaat resign in protest of BNP's all out corruption or did they
protest at all when almost every one in Bangladesh knew about the
omniprevalent rotting of every layer of the society? Instead, I can
assure you Jamaat defended every action of BNP vigorously and
shamelessly.

It's upto you whether you want to accept the Jamaatis as
honest/innocent or thieves/murderers/rapists. But after the fact, do
you want us to seriously believe that you are not a supporter of
Jamaat? Are you not kidding here? Good luck with selling that
argument.

I don't have any problem yet with the chief justice other than the
fact that he attended a seminar that was presided over by Shah Abdul
Hannan who made some outrageous lies about our liberation war
recently. To refresh memeory, Shah A. Hannan claimed in Oct last year
that no genocide took place in the country during 1971 and no war
criminal lives here either. I guess lying doesn't make a person
dishonest or corrupt, right?

I apologize in advance for my poor word choices/spelling
mistakes/others. I didn't know that alochona is a forum for good
english writers like yourself.

[ALOCHONA] Re: Army Chief gets Al Badr Commander and Top Jamaat Leader's video of 71 brutality?

Sorry, first time the image didn't appear.

First of all, I apologize if anyone finds this topic un-Islamic. Some people considers anything anti-Jamaat as anti-Islamic. I hope they don't  think talking about Jamaat/Shibir's war crimes during 71 war goes against Islam too.

Oh you who believe, stand up firmly for justice, as witness to God, even if it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be against rich or poor; for God best protect both. Do not allow any passion, lest you not be just. And if you distort or decline to do ustice, verily God is well-acquainted with all that you do. (Quran 4:135)

Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts (Quran 13:11)

[vinnomot] 54 lac Bangladeshis now working abroad

If you are really a Moslim, why the hell have you not tried to find-out thru State Bank of Pakistan's Website on Internet if I had posted the truth or lied?

Does your Islam say to accuse another Moslim Brother for lying without investigating if he was lying?
I guess, since you have already done that, you are not really a Moslim and your Mollaa Islam is quite different than Islam of my God.

Why do you think, any Pakistani would be remitting money to his family in Pakistan, when he has no family left in Pakistan since all of them have immigrated to join him in the Western Country he has received citizenship (because immediate relatives qualify for Immigration in those countries) ?

Ignorant Mollaa Ayubi do you know, hardly any Immigrant to an advanced rich country remits any money to his country or origin ten years after he has reached there since he already has all his immediate relatives with him?

Had I not mentioned, in # 3 of my post that 90 lac of Pakistanis have immigrated to rich advanced countries?

Do you know any Math, Ayubi?
160 minus 90 = 70 million and since 3/4th of them have migrated to Gulf countries, Malayasia, S. Africa, Kenya and other not so rich countries, why do you think, they can remit as much as 5.4 million Bangladeshis if your figures are correct and you have not made them up?

Another problem Pakistanis face in Gulf Countries and other countries is that they try to maintain a better standard of living than Bangladeshis and spend a lot more than them on it since their standard of living in Pakistan was higher than, what you have in Bangladesh. They save less to remit than Bangladeshis.

Bangladeshis don't care for A/C in their flats as much as Pakistanis do. They do not have a habit of eating so much Meat (which is not cheap) as Pakistanis do. Bangla get Desentory runs to Toilet if they eat too much red Meat. They are low maintainance people compared to Pakistanis and are not liked much as ordinary laborers because they are weak for not consuming enough calories.

What Bangla's in Gulf countries should do is, slowly increase consumption of Meat to eventually match the Pakistanis in this so, they don't get tired before Pakistanis. Its not a Sin to become Physically stronger in Islam. Saudis had gotten so scared of having too many Pakistanis that they had started importing people of other nationalities and religions also but this doesn't mean, Saudis should receive less productivity for doing this.

Since Bangla couldn't work as hard, Arabs had reduced their Wages lesser than Pakistanis, which was an insult but no Bangla cared or tried to understand this problem. Is it too late to learn about this?

Now I want to ask Mollaa Ayubi if I'm lying that Bangla don't get paid for the same Labor Jobs as Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia?

This Jack Ass Mollaa keeps posting that I'm lying about everytlhing I post but has never explained how by producing any evidence or why.  Instead, I end up keep producing evidence and proof. Is this all what's left in Islam of Mollaas to accuse your Moslim brother, who is telling the truth of lying because you hate him?

The Problem is, such people are still living in their Mollaa Syndrom. In ancient days, when ever they issued an Edict or FaTwah against people speaking the truth or Scientists, they were never challenged by masses. Every word that came out of their mouths was considered word of God. Those days are gone Mollaa Ayubi. Now you have to prove, why, how and which way you are right and you have no way knowing, how to prove your lies right besides just keep accusing others of lying, while you people keep lying consistantly.

Salahuddin Ayubi <ayubi_s786@yahoo.com> wrote:
Is it possible to assume this information as correct?
According to the infgormation given here 16 million
Pakistanis live abroad and they send 4 Billion dollars
per year, where as 5.4 million Bangladesh workers
living broad is sending 6 billion dollars per year.
There must be some mistake in the informatin given by
Mr. Turkman or these information are manufactured in
his machine.

[vinnomot] From Bangladesh with love: Emotions of my recent short trip.

16 January 2008
Dear Moderator, VM: Please consider posting the following in VM Reader's Forum. Thanx with regards. Mohammad Gani (USA).
                                               **************************************************************

From Bangladesh with love: Emotions of my recent short trip.

Mohammad Gani (USA)

Most of my time I stayed in our village home, the "Gram Bangla where I was born and raised, went to school, were playing kites, fighting with friends; about 15 miles away from Port City, Chittagong. I have gazed and only gazed on the eclectic beauty of my charming mother and a uniquely beautiful land; my motherland, Bangladesh,  its loving and caring people, neighbors, friends, relatives, their solicitous, warm & heartfelt hospitality and so many more; my tearful blurry eyes only looked through millions of amazing memories of my childhood, boyhood and youth. Today, those moments are only the past and simply are the points of no return.

These splendid and uncommon natural beauties and every day lives of the common people of Bangladesh attract us all; especially those were born and raised in Bangladesh. I feel deep into my heart and soul a close touch of natural beauty and humanity rooted deeply in the greetings, hospitality and cares of these millions and millions of poverty-stricken faces and families in Bangladesh. The "exquisite" beauty of its ordinary people, the splendor we find in their poverty and in all their imperfections, shall amaze you with their unspoken happiness of satisfaction where the expectations are bare minimum, one day at a time.

You shall see the natural beauty of innocent boys and girls falling in love extant there, a truly audacious but pure and amorous relationship of tying the knots; of starting a new life with the confidence of taking challenges, with the spirits and the artful dreams of hopes towards an unknown and unpredictable future. You shall see the beauty of poor mother's affluent love and smiles at her children; also shall see the "smiles of satisfactions" even in the faces of Rickshaw puller's desperate struggles to survive and so many more!

You shall NOT see the abundance of anything you were expecting but shall see boundless happy faces greeting you with their naturally beautiful and innocent smiles; with great satisfaction those you do not see in the faces of the riches. Have you ever seen any beauty or felt any happiness in a wedding in the battle field? With such all these uncommon beauty, there is always something truly beautiful about Bangladesh!!

O.K. That's all for now! No more emotion! I was truly bored while performing my exigent duty of attending (Please say, escorting) my wife during her day-long "SARI acquisition" shopping spree and at one point, I nervously, rather cowardly said to her, "Why are we buying so many sari (s), I only have one wife, isn't it?" This bullet did not seem to hit the target at all (only this time!!).

It is "shivering" winter in Bangladesh now with a beautiful and clear blue sky. You can even see the "borders of our Universe" if you have supervision! Very nice and cool, indeed refreshing too! Also, there is "No Lagathar Hartal, "No Oborodth", No ChandaBazi", "No Mastangiri", "No Corruption", " No Hasina", "No Khaleda", "No Tariq" ……except skyrocketing rice price. Hmm, I almost forgot one more important thing! There is "No War Criminal either"! "No War criminal?????" Where did they go so fast?

Thanx and best regards to U all.

[mukto-mona] AI raps LFG on Nandigram

Amnesty report indicts State Government over Nandigram carnage

Parvaiz Sultan | New Delhi 16 Jan 07 (http://dailypioneer.com/indexn12.asp?main_variable=STATES&file_name=state5%2Etxt&counter_img=5)

As violence in Nandigram was likely to intensify in October 2007, the only remaining police posted at Nandigram were withdrawn without any reasons being given. This is the shocking revelation by human rights organisation Amnesty International in a report released on Tuesday after its delegation visited the area.

Quoting Satya Prakash Panda, District Superintendent of Police, the report says that the delegation was told that the order to withdraw the remaining police came from his superiors in Kolkata. And it took almost two weeks to deploy CRPF personnel after the State police force pull-out.

For 14 days, the people of Nandigram were left at the mercy of the CPI(M) and the Bhumi Ucched Pratirodh Committee (BUPC). However, on November 13, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee alleged that it was the Union Government, which had caused the delay. The entire district witnessed armed confrontations between the CPI(M) and BUPC.

According to the report, during the bloodshed, women were more vulnerable. Several were threatened, raped, beaten up and harassed. "This is a serious issue. During such incidents women are targeted and sexually abused in our country. In West Bengal, those women were targeted who were either leaders or activists. "They told us that they were harassed as we were leader or our husbands were leaders. I have met several women who have given the names and details of perpetrators to the authorities but nothing happened," says Vrinda Grover, a lawyer, activist and member of the delegation of Amnesty International that visited Nandigram after the November violence.

"The threats have not ended till now, rapists are roaming freely, abusing women and they are also threatening more sexual assaults in the future. Violence in Nandigram was used as a weapon against women. A number of local residents informed the delegation that the offenders were operating with impunity, taunting the people, forcing them to shout in supports of CPI(M) or attend its meeting", she added.

Relatives or sympathisers of BUPC too lost their lives or were subjected to abuse and brutality, especially the women, the report discloses. "Accounts of both officials and villagers relating to violence against women agreed that victims were either relatives or sympathisers of BHPC and named the perpetrators as groups of armed supporters of the CPI(M)".

The report also urges the State Government to ensure that all incidents of human rights abuses since early 2007 are thoroughly investigated and the culprits, whether or not they are officials and regardless of their political affiliation, are brought promptly to justice. "Victims continued to suffer. People who have abused and attacked or took up the violence neither arrested nor booked. This highlights the great sense of insecurity. The State Government must establish an independent and impartial inquiry", said Mukul Sharma, Director, Amnesty International India.

[vinnomot] Re: [Dahuk]: US$5.2 Billion Dollar Underground Train System in Bangladesh. Is it a good plan?

If under ground real can be maintained in Kalkata why not we?

I am not sure who has approved the US$5.2 Billion underground transport system and they might be drunk or something.  I understand that Dhaka needs a better system to cope with population explosion but underground system will be a disaster. Let me ask them a few questions:

2)  How Bangladesh will protect this underground system, any Tokai can put a Bomb inside and explode any part of the system for whatever reasons.  It will be a mountain of job to secure the whole line as far as Bangladesh is concern.

3)  This underground system will be a future bargaining chip for the violent political leaders and parties.  They will seize it if their arguments are not respected.  This will be a total disaster for Bangladesh.

4)  Bangladesh can not buy enough rice, pay oil bill, where the hell they will get $5.2 Billion even through few foreign countries wants to pay for it.

Please CTG think twice before you commit this stupid plan as far as Bangladesh is concern.  Try to find alternatives with fly over bridge system where train can be run.

[vinnomot] What Bangladesh got from recent Advisory Council reshuffle?

What Bangladesh got from recent Advisory Council reshuffle?
This is off course not the only analysis, but we think this is the most important analysis.

According to our assessment, the members of the current interim government has one lagging. As a group, so far, they have failed in one arena. To be fair to them, we recognize that the time has not run out yet. However, a good example is always a welcome ASAP.

Other than pursuing the election roadmap, the next biggest project of the government is the anti-corruption drive.

To show solidarity of the drive, the council of advisors could have declared their wealth from their own initiative.

Or, they could signal that NBR could publish all the tax files of the individual members of the Advisory Council. This should become a norm of every public official holding elected office. How better to shart the tradition than by a voluntary initiative by themselves?

From the body languages of the different officials including the advisors themselves, it seemed that all the members were not ready to publish their weath details to the public. If that assumption is true, we hope that the advisory council that we have now, after some dropouts and resignations, they will be able to do so.

The most important gain from the latest reshuffle of Advisory Council could be that the Council is now ready to declare their wealth. If they are all mentally ready, they can always do that if needed, or at least, if they want to show the goodwill.

We really really really wish that comes out as true - whatever the timing is.

If you thought some of the ideas are worth of your reading time, please forward it to others. If you have an ear to the columinsts in regular traditional media, please forward it to them. If you have an ear to the journalists and news editors of the electronic media, discuss it with them. Hope they would look at the suggestions and give due diligence.

Also, if you thought the article was important enough so it should come under attention of the head of the government or the head of anti-corruption commission, please forward the message to them.

[vinnomot] New US Immigration Policy

According US Immigration law any Legal or Illegal Immigrant convicted and jailed for a Crime could be deported but that law was never enforced until 2 year ago. Last year over 270,000 have been deported after serving their sentences in jails countrywide of which over 70,000 were legal Immigrants and had Greed Cards. Their Legal Immigrant status was revoked and Green Card taken-back and cancelled.

According to an INS (Immigration & Naturalization Services) senior Official on CNN today, this year's estimated deportation would be over 400,000 because now more and more Counties and States have been told to hand the new Immigrants over to INS after they finish their Jail term.

According Anti Immigration Lobby of USA, ...

1. Immigrants commit more Crimes than average Americans.
2. Illegal Immigrants commit more Crimes than Legal Immigrants.
3. Crime Rate of Mexican Illegal Immigrants is the highest and deporting them does not help because they always come back illegally in to USA again and start using another name, living in a different city in USA.

FACTS:

1. Every year about a million Foreigners are granted Legal Immigration in USA.
2. About a million Foreigners enter USA USA every year illegally mostly from US Mexican Border.

[ALOCHONA] Army Chief gets Al Badr Commander and Top Jamaat Leader's video of 71 brutality?

First of all, I apologize if anyone finds this topic un-Islamic. Some people considers anything anti-Jamaat as anti-Islamic. I hope they don't think talking about Jamaat/Shibir's war crimes during 71 war goes against Islam too.

Oh you who believe, stand up firmly for justice, as witness to God, even if it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be against rich or poor; for God best protect both. Do not allow any passion, lest you not be just. And if you distort or decline to do justice, verily God is well-acquainted with all that you do. (Quran 4:135)

Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts (Quran 13:11)
