[mukto-mona] Re: Make America white again

You did not understand what I really wanted to say. With restricted intellectual freedom and communist mentality, there is a limit how far China can go. In many respects, West does not have that problem and that is why it has made enormous progress since Cesar's time. China is still copy-cating many things and has not come up with anything new and worthy since the days gun-powder invention. We heard the same noise about Japanese taking over the world with their technologies in 70's and that has not materialized yet. China is a closed society with bunch of commie dictators running the show. China's future is limited no matter how you want to skin the cat. It can make a better mouse trap but not a new novel idea. That was the point!

Is China still just work with copied technologies or creating new frontier with innovation. Last 2 decades Chinese students flood the  top research schools in US , Europe and Russia. Many of them make significant contributions but prefer stay low profile like their counterpart from Japan and unlike their counterparts from subcontinent. Quite a few go back , may they feel  blood is thicker water. Lately you don't see them flocking as much . Now they find labs there are advance enough to pursue research , so don't  see need to go for labs in West.

The notion of Chinese technologies just a copy cat may getting obsolete slowly but surely.

I hope china doesn't use its talent not just for military end. In West there is decent balance in using talents for military and civilian benefits.
