Agree Jamal! More idiots are being born everyday with atrocious congenital defects. Not sure how this intellectually poor woman can provide good/sane advice to US presidents without even understanding the founders like Jefferson and Adams? What kind of cool-aid have these people been really drinking? Can they be ever pass a simple civility test? This not how people would start loving Muslims.

Asra,

I am very pleased to get your feedback.

This young Bangladeshi-American can not be a pride of Bangladesh. Because she considers and calls herself a Muslim American. She probably feels overjoyed and ecstatic with her Muslim identity abandoning her Bengali heritage. This is a new phenomenon, which is happening more and more among Western living South Asians of Islamic faith. Compared to this bizarre situation, you may hardly find any Indian-American of Hindu faith who calls himself or herself a Hindu-American. And what about Polish-American, Hungarian-American, German-American? Do they call themselves Christian-Americans? Why Muslims have to resort to utopian Ummatic identity?

Currently I am living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I doubt if any expatriate Bangladeshi while applying for work permit or local identity card to any Saudi ministry would ever conceal his or her Bangladesh origin. In this Islamic wonderland, the Saudis clearly distinguish between Saudi citizens and people from "Miskin" countries.

I am becoming sick and tired with this caricature of upholding the Muslim identity among good portion of people who are the descendants of a place of rich culture, the Bengal.

Sincerely yours,

Jamal
