Secularism will not work in this era, because communality is on the rise around the world, thanks to Islam.
Nepal being secular may pay a hefty prize, because this country, as a Hindu State, has been on the cross-hair of Islamic radicalism for decades, and those radicals will be strengthened in the secular Nepal. Although, secularism, in any country, is desirable, but not safe in this era, because it is hard to follow under the current world order.

সর্বশেষ জানা গেল ভারত সরকার নেপালের ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ সংবিধানের বিরোধিতা করেছে। এহেন পরিস্থিতিতে এই উভয় দেশে ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ কার্যত প্রতিষ্ঠা ও প্রসারিত করার জন্য নতুন করে গণআন্দোলন গণসংগ্রাম পরিচালনা করা অপরিহার্য। যুবসমাজ যত দ্রুত সে পথে এগোবে ভারত ও বাংলাদেশের ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতা নিশ্চিত এবং উন্নয়ন অগ্রগতিও ততটাই ত্বরান্বিত হবে। >>>

- The only solution to the Kashmir problem is reunification of India and Pakistan under a strong and "modern-minded" government.
