People steeped in tradition of cultural or religion tends to have closed mind and seldom practice free thinking , and contribute to new ways of solving problems for humanity.
British rule weakened many Hindu traditions in many Indian states. Those states are leading the way for india. Issue with present day Muslims , they are taught to appease half educated religious fanatics from very early age. These children take their words for God words and them as little God. That mess up judgement of children with not very strong mind.
I have read there are several hundreds of hadis were considered not authentic so discarded. That goes to show how authentic or lack thereof these religious documents are. If children are introduced to religion at much later age , that is good for religion and society. But that is hard to change because a cottage industry came out of it, which is ready to fight hard.
Only God knows best, how to go about make changes to that predicament.

It is
rather a cultural tradition of free thinking than believing
in what one's religion permits. If you are not asking
tough questions, you are not pushing the envelope, Most
religions do have that latitude of freedom except Islam.
Muslim students (numbers are very small though) are
boycotting evolution studies in many good western
universities to become what? Freethinkers? That is why Islam
has created only garbage Ullemas and no experts in any
subject, Study Quran and figure out how to travel to Mars?
That is the difference between a Jew and a Muslim.

which Hindus did not let others to drink water from the same
well, That is another matter, Would a Bedouin allow others
to drink water from the same well that he/she recently dug
out? Why would a Saudi call Pakistanis slaves and

point there were more tenured professors from turkey or
Italy than there was from India, even though much more
Indians enrolled in scientific field. Now probably the
opposite is true. As said it is a testament individuals more
than of culture.
It is true, Muslim world in general took a turn to
backwardness after Soviet invasion of Afganistan, when
west facilitated the dark force in muslim world to get them
fight Soviet. Rest is history.

Tibet issue is still burning, China would not dare to go
for
another war with India. If Dalailama opts for violence
in
Tibet, China would not be able to contain the violence
from
these fearless Tibetians. It knows India would never
hesitate to push the nuclear button if it feels
threatened.
Indian mentality is not the same as it was in 1962 as
the
new Chankya gang is in power. If the country can
successfully send the Mars probe to its right place with
a
single try, it can deliver the real goods to Chinese
premier's residence with far more accurate
precision.
So, the simple message for the Chinks is not to fuk
around
with the Indians but to deal with its rather smaller
weaker
neighbors. I understand that many Islamist want China
to
take over the world as if that would help any Muslim
cause?
US/UK did not deliver anything to Muslim nations and
they
think China will?? What an idiocy!
Even smaller Vietnam troubled

China reportedly has some new technology that may
offset
many US technologies, that is not likely to happen in
next
decade.
If India can get many Awacs, even a scale down then
China
will shy away from sny major dumb headed adventurism.
More
over china govt is not so much for cheap glory, because
of
it's size , they feel self assured unlike Putin
Russia.
What it is doing, it keeping India busy fighting
it's
citizens in North East. North Indian treat them as from
inferior race, just Pakistani just like did to bengali.
Also
using their economy, investing 40 billion in India.
That
will make hard for India politicians go too far with
hostility without paying big price.
So, it is futile to bring centuries old battle history
to
predict future wars. Though fools may it entertaining
when
they don't have going.
