BIOS of PRESENTERS:

 

1.  Dr. Nasima Begum:  Dr. Nasima Begum is an Infectious Disease Specialist in Los Angeles, California Dr. Nasima Begum, MD is a Board certified Infection diseases specialist. She practices in West Covina, California with foothill infectious disease medical group since 1998. Dr. Nasima is the current Chair of Antibiotic Stewardship program for Emanate health. She is the past chair of infection control committee at citrus valley medical center. Dr. Nasima is the Past president of BMANA (Bangladesh. California chapter). She completed her fellowship at USC medical center. She is a graduate of Dhaka medical school.

 

2. Dr. Rubina Najeeb:  Dr. Rubina Najeeb is a Board Certified Psychiatrist. She graduated from Dhaka Medical College. She completed her Adult Psychiatry from University of California- Irvine; Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from Harbour UCLA and Forensic Psychiatry from USC Medical Center. She practices in Long Beach California. She received "The Outstanding Employee" award from the Board of Directors of  The Guidance Center and "Exemplary Performance" Award from United Advocates of Children and Families, Southern California. She is the Immediate Past President of Bangladesh Medical Association of North America - California Chapter (BMANACA) and also The Board of Directors of a Domestic Violence Organization called South Asian Helpline and Referral Agency ( SAHARA) which is located in Artesia, CA. She lives with her husband and daughter in Southern California.

3. Dr Tanima Shaheed:  Dr Tanima Shaheed, currently working as a hospital based internal medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente hospital in southern California. She graduated from Dhaka medical college and completed internal medicine residency from Brookdale university hospital at Brooklyn, NY. Tanima Shaheed is also affiliated with Bangladesh medical association north America and takes pride on her profession as a hospital based physician taking care of the sickest people requiring hospitalization. Her patients would call her a responsible and compassionate person who is a good listener. She also communicates efficiently and acts on a timely manner. Tanima is popular among colleagues for her casual witty nature, willingness to help and heal while maintaining proper professionalism. Dr. Tanima is passionate about her work, her children and enjoys music, nature, hiking, yoga, pilates and most of all good food! She believes in the motto "health is wealth". She takes life as it comes with its challenges.

4 Dr.. Madhury Yasmeen Khan:  Dr. Madhury Yasmeen Khan is an attending physician, board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is originally from California and did her undergraduate studies at the University of California Berkeley, in Molecular and Cell Biology. She attained a Master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington DC. She received her M.D. degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Khan completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York after which she joined the faculty as Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx NY.  Dr. Khan currently lives in Queens, New York.
