When QR compares Subimal with a fifth grader and himself as knowledgeable as Rabindra Nath Thakur, most of the forum members would agree that he is an arrogant idiot. Just using one Jewish word 'Shalom' would not change his hue. Besides, his idiocy has been evidenced through most of his postings. It is, however, immaterial considering who was behind communal riots in Santhia or elsewhere. Minority community is a good game in this land and can be hunted at free will. Even the Urdu speaking Muslim minorities were not spared. Hindus evidently have less protection. Nobody would do anything except showing worthless sympathy.

You tend to personalize every discussion. I do not think I said anything favoring any political parties. My simple point was to stop the blame game and go after criminals. If you are certain these are all acts of any party, feel free to go after them and STOP them.
I am saddened by Mr. Q. Rahman's comment that my belief that the recent attacks against Hindus have been engineered by BNP-Jamaat has been politically motivated.

I never asked you to change your opinion about political parties. All you have to do is to learn to be respectful of other people's view and have a positive mindset.

This is in response to QR's response to my comment on Daily Star reports on attacks on Hindus in Santhia, Pabna.
Mr. Q. Rahman should read it and other articles and think why at this time BNP-Jamaat alliance needs communal discord in the country. He should also think logically why attacks against Hindus will not bring any good to AL. On the other hand BNP-Jamaat will be benefitted by terrorizing Hindus most of whom vote for AL.

Mr. Q. Rahman is correct when he says that I am politically more biased to AL than to BNP. But I am not blind to AL. Like many I am in favor of banning Jamaati politics in Bangladesh. Is Mr. Q. Rahman not politically on the other extreme? I criticize AL and even Hasina. But has QR ever criticized Jamaat-e-Islam? His beliefs are aligned with Jamaat agenda. নির্বাচনের আগে বা পরে বা অন্য যে কোন ইস্যুতে সংখ্যালঘুদের ওপর নির্যাতন বন্ধের দাবীতে এ অনুষ্ঠানে সেমিনার; চিত্র প্রদর্শনী ইত্যাদি স্থান পায়। দু'শ মানুষ মন্ত্রমুদ্বের মত এ সেমিনারে বক্তাদের কথা শুনেন। প্রথমে শাহরিয়ার কবীরের 'আলটিমেট জ্বিহাদ' দেখানো হয়। এরপর শুরু হয় সেমিনার। শুভেচ্ছা বক্তব্য রাখেন রতন বড়ুয়া। তারপর একের পর এক বক্তা বাংলাদেশে সংখ্যালঘুদের ওপর নির্যাতনের চিত্র তুলে ধরেন। ঐক্য পরিষদ একটি স্লাইড শো-এর মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশের হিন্দু নির্যাতনের চিত্র তুলে ধরে।
নেদারল্যান্ডের মানবাধিকার কর্মী মিস জেনী ল্যান্ডস্ট্রম'কালচার অব ইম্পিউনিটি'শীর্ষক আর একটি ডকুমেন্টারী প্রদর্শনী করে দেখান যে, বাংলাদেশে সংখ্যালঘুর ওপর অত্যাচার করে সহজেই পার পাওয়া যায়;কোন বিচার হয়না। তিনি বিভিন্ন ধর্ষণের ঘটনা ও অত্যাচারের বর্ণনা করেন। তিনি জানান যে, রামুর ঘটনার পর তিনিবাংলাদেশে যান এবং তার অভিজ্ঞতার বর্ণনা করেন। বাংলাদেশের সংখ্যালঘুর সমস্যার ব্যাপারে কিছু সমাধন তিনি তুলে ধরেন।
ওয়াশিংটন হাফ-এর জে, কানসারা বলেন, আপনারা White House-এর যে বিশাল সমাবেশ করেছেন তার ফলশ্রুতিতে এ মাসের ২০ তারিখ হাউজের ফরেন রিলেসেনস কমিটির এশিয়া বিভাগে 'বাংলাদেশের হিন্দুদের নির্যাতনের বিষয়ে একটি হিয়ারি' হচ্ছে।' আপনারা সবাই এতে অংশ নিয়ে আপনাদের করুন কাহিনী সবাইকে জানান। তিনি জানান, হাফ বাংলাদেশের সংখ্যালঘুদের নিয়ে বিশেষভাবে কাজ করছে।
লন্ডনের মিস টেইলর বলেন, তারা বাংলাদেশে প্রতিদিন মন্দির ভাঙ্গার ব্যাপারে এবং হিন্দুদের ওপর নির্যাতনের প্রশ্নে উদ্বিগ্ন এবং বিষয়টি নিয়ে শিগগিরিই আলোচনায় বসবেন(তার বক্তব্য সংযুক্ত হলো)। সুইডেনের রাজনীতিক মেরী স্পিনারে বলেন, কেন হিন্দুদের মন্দির ভাঙ্গা হবে? কেন হিন্দুদের নির্যাতন করা হবে? তিনি জানান, এ বিষয়ে তিনি এখন থেকে সোচ্চার হবেন (তার বক্তব্য সংযুক্ত হলো)।
ইউরোপীয় ঐক্য পরিষদের সভাপতি তরুণ চৌধুরী; কানাডার ঐক্য পরিষদের সাধারণ সম্পাদক সরোজ দাশ ও অন্যান্যরা বলেন, সাথিয়ার ঘটনার সাথে আওয়ামী লীগ, বিএনপি-জামাত সবাই জড়িত। হিন্দুদের ওপর অত্যাচারের বিষয়ে কারো হাতই পরিস্কার নয়। বক্তারা বলেন, আমরা ব্লেমগেম চাইনা ; সমস্যার সমাধান চাই। আওয়ামী লীগ, বিএনপি-জামাত সবাই বলুক তারা সংখ্যালঘুদের জন্যে কি করবেন। আমেরিকার বিভিন্ন স্টেটের ঐক্য পরিষদের নেতারাও এতে অংশ নেন।
সেমিনারের পরে রতন বড়ুয়ার সন্মানে একটি বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠান হয়। এতে সভাপতিত্ব করেন চন্দন সেনগুপ্ত। পরিচলনা করেন বিষ্ণু গোপ। এতে প্রায় ৫০ জন বক্তৃতা করে রতনদার প্র্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্বা প্রদর্শন করেন। এটি একটি আবেগঘন অনুষ্ঠানে পরিনত হয়। ক্যাম্ব ঐক্য পরিষদকে এর কর্মকান্ডের জন্যে সন্মাননা জানায় এবং রতন বড়ুয়ার হাতে একটি চমত্কার ক্রেস্ট তুলে দেয়। এছাড়াও ঐক্য পরিষদের আরো ৫ নেতাকে সন্মাননা জানিয়ে উত্তরীয় প্রদান করে; এরা হলেন চন্দন সেনগুপ্ত, শ্যামল চক্রবর্তী, প্রদীপ দাশ, বিষ্ণু গোপ ও সুশীল সাহা। অনুষ্ঠানে উমাকান্ত শর্মার অসমীয়া নভেল 'সিমসন্গের দু'টি পার'-এর বাংলা অনুবাদ গ্রন্থের উদ্বোধন ও মড়ক উন্মোচন করা হয়। বাংলা অনুবাদ করেন মানস রায় এবং মোড়ক উন্মোচন করেন ড: টমাস দুলু রায়।
