We never paid any attention to this very slow and very long game. Although, this could be only our personal observation, but, all that changed recently, after Bangladesh started to win. Now, very first news my wife has been giving me is the result of the cricket match after I come home from work.Yesterday, he came home later than me, and was asking about the result. I did not know. So, I opened Bangladeshi TV channel for the news, but there was no news about the game. We were all worried, fearing the bad news. Then, we looked at the scrolling messages at the bottom of the TV screen, where we found that the game was still going on; that was a relief.Today, she did not give me the Cricket news after I came home. So, I had to ask her about it. She said – Bangladesh lost. I told her that you cannot win every time. Losing the game, once a while, is a good thing for the team to learn from the reflection on what went wrong. If you win every time, it creates over confidence and degrades quality of the players. That was my commentary also when Bangladesh lost to India in the World Series game, while most people of Bangladesh were screaming 'malauns nipat jak'.Anyway, Bagladeshi cricket team has made us seasonal cricket fans, meaning we are cricket fan only when Bangladesh is in the game. We, really, do not care to hear about the game or the result when any other countries play in the game.Swadesh Roy is right - Mr. Kabir is not a journalist. I know Darpan Kabir, when he started his carrier as a local correspondent of Naraonganga in Baglabazar Patrika, I was then Assistant editor in that Newspaper, he is never a Journalist; he is basically a fraud.
