Kafir believed their god as unforgiving to those who are not totally obident. When Almighty is ever merciful. Swaping muslim with kafir in your above quote would have made perfect sense to then kafir.
You are not the first one to use that tact, but how this crept into muslim culture. I suspect, omar and his lackey. Omar liked to remebered as a kind hearted, when was quick to beheading. And to them message of peace, equality and merciful God ring hollow; dominance like kafir days are back in fashion. His message overides Prophet's message. Adding conflicting message in the revision and claiming as original work is afront to Prophet's preaching. Omars claim was protected for 2 decades with swords, by then that got establish as truth in many mind.
People get beheaded for not taking omars revision as Almightys word. Now Omar worshiping are now the stewards of Islam. That explains why muslims get killed by muslims. And more Muslim leave their community to live among people ftom other beliefs. Other scale down their religious practices to keep their sanity. Today Rohinga children for the reputation omar worshiper ( hardcore sunni and wahbis) in Islamic grabs. Shia, dont worship omar but Ali.
Razzak, i am still waiting for the verse in Quran that you claim , has mentioned "hur pori". I got news for you, those words dont exist un tha Book. This goes to show after Prophet passed Islamic messages changed. I came accrosd more than one verson of Prophets speech on his last haj. But no mention of jihad in any version. Now jihad and hur pori are the operating words to accepeted as practicing muslim.
Fools dont need logic find beheading caliphah kind and great hearted. There are some account of his kindness but that doesnt absolve of cruelties. I knew a guy who was kind to many, then turn out be a mass murder.

Quran carefully with open heart, you will find the answer.
In one of the verses it's clearly mentioned:

কোন কাজ করতে পারে না।
সে মালিকের উপর বোঝা।

Under current situations we Muslims are like
'Dumb', we can't do anything for our
'Deen', including myself. We will be lucky if only
can escape the hell fire n punishment in the grave, which
none can imagine, how tough it will be.
May Allah (SWT) save us from the Hell Fire.
