Attorney General Bill Barr Says YOU are the Cause of All Social Ills Maybe you heard about the shocking comments made by Attorney General Bill Barr recently when he spoke to an audience at Notre Dame University. I, for one, was shaken by the callousness, duplicity, and sheer unconstitutionality of his words: “In short, in the Framers’ view, free government was only suitable and sustainable for a religious people” … “The Founding generation were Christians. They believed that the Judeo-Christian moral system corresponds to the true nature of man. Those moral precepts start with the two great commandments—to Love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind; and to Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself.” … “I think we all recognize that over the past fifty years religion has been under increasing attack.” … “If ever there was a need for a resurgence of Catholic education—and more generally religiously affiliated schools—it is today.” It’s easy to feel helpless as the barrage of misinformation and slander rains down.
