Re: [mukto-mona] Bullying in the Age of Trump



 
Yes, I opened it, only to find what I guessed to find in the New York Times report.
I found - fearmongering campaign by Teachers and administrators is going on in full-swing in school and the college campuses, and students are being brainwashed to reject Trump, even before he can assume Presidency, and implement a single policy. This has been a political strategy of the left now.  
Unfortunately, teachers and administrators are not stopping there; after inducing enough fear in the young impressionable minds, they are coming to the rescue by consoling those innocent minds with crayons, coloring books, safe-spaces, dogs, ponies/donkeys, etc.
What this process does is - it instills permanent trust on teachers and administrations, so students become their street soldiers to fight for whatever teachers and administrators politically believe in.
One of my friends informed me that his daughter-in-law, who is a college student, told him that teachers asked students in her class to break classes, and join demonstrations. Each Student will get $60, if he/she goes to the anti-Trump demonstration. Some colleges have cancelled classes and exams to encourage students to join anti-Trump demonstration.
 
Objective journalism is dead in this country. I will advise everyone to use his/her brains to analyze situation at hand, instead of blindly believing in written words by someone as gospel.

Sorry for typo for Pakistan. The title should be Bankrupt Pakistan...

For Pakistan, value of its citizens' lives is simply zero. Things have not changed that much there except that they have started hunting down Shias, Ahmedias and Christians for a change. No wonder why they forgot to put the number in the equation.

Bangladesh should talk to international lawyers a file a suit on behalf of victims.

I hope you know, this is a civil suit, which at best  could ask Trump to give back some monetary compensation, if he loses. But, the criminal investigation of Hill/Bill over foundation and national secrets could put them in jail, if Trump Administration wants to pursue. So, it won't be too wise to gloat over the Trump lawsuit.

Are you telling me to trust the left-wing New York Times, which has recently admitted to be totally biased against Trump?
 
The fact is - liberals are demonstrating on streets against Trump-win, and vandalizing everything on their ways. So, I worry more about the Hillary supporters than Trump supporters, who won.

In a direct election system, the North would have outnumbered the South (which had a large population but far fewer eligible voters), whose roughly 550,000 enslaved black people were disenfranchised. 'মৌলিক গণতন্ত্র' নামের উদ্ভট ব্যবস্থায় আগামী ২৮ ডিসেম্বর সারাদেশে একদলীয় জেলা পরিষদ নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। আওয়ামীলীগের কেন্দ্রিয় নির্দেশে জেলা পরিষদ নির্বাচন নিয়ে রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো কোনো আগ্রহ দেখাচ্ছে না। সে কারণটি হলো, দেশের বিভিন্ন এলাকায় জনগণের ভোটে নির্বাচিত স্থানীয় সরকার প্রতিষ্ঠানের অনেক জনপ্রতিনিধিকেই বরখাস্ত করেছে বিনাভোটের অনির্বাচিত আওয়ামীলীগের সরকার। এই তালিকায় রয়েছেন সিটি করপোরেশনের চারজন মেয়র, ১০৫ জন উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান ও ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান, ২১ জন পৌর মেয়র, ৪৪ জন সিটি ও পৌর কাউন্সিলর এবং ১৪০ জন ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান ও মেম্বার। বরখাস্ত হওয়া ৩১৪ জনের মধ্যে অনেককেই মিথ্যা মামলায় ফাঁসিয়ে কারাগারে ঢোকানো হয়েছে। শুধু তা-ই নয়, আদালতে জামিন পাওয়া সত্ত্বেও তাদের বেশিরভাগ মুক্তি পাননি। অনেককে আবার নতুন নতুন মামলায় ফাঁসানো হয়েছে। মূলত সে কারণেও আসন্ন জেলা পরিষদ নির্বাচনে অংশ নেয়ার আওয়ামীলীগ ও তাদের দোসর ছাড়া কোনো দলই আগ্রহ দেখাচ্ছে না।
আবার সেই স্বৈরশাসক আইয়ুব খানের আমলের নির্বাচন করছে স্বৈরশাসক আওয়ামীলীগ। পাকিস্তানের স্বৈরশাসক জেনারেল আইয়ুব খান তার প্রবর্তিত মৌলিক গণতন্ত্রের জন্য এ ধরনের ইলেক্টোরাল কলেজ তৈরি করেছিলেন। আইয়ুব খান 'মৌলিক গণতন্ত্র' নামে এমন এক ব্যবস্থা প্রবর্তন করেছিলেন, যে ব্যবস্থায় জনগণ তথা সাধারণ ভোটাররা শুধু ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ নির্বাচনে ভোট দেয়ার সুযোগ পেতো। এভাবে পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানে ৪০ হাজার করে ৮০ হাজার মৌলিক গণতন্ত্রী বা বিডি মেম্বার নির্বাচিত হতেন। এরাই পাকিস্তান জাতীয় পরিষদ এবং পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম পাকিস্তানের দুই প্রাদেশিক পরিষদের সদস্যদের ভোট দিয়ে নির্বাচিত করতেন। যাদেরকে জনগণ ভোট দিয়ে নির্বাচিত করতো না।
