[ALOCHONA] What Hasina wants?

Well, one should ask, what Hasina wants?

Like her father, Hasina thrive with street fight. She likes dog-fight, she really enjoys them. Pay attention to her address in the parliament. She is a vindictive politician, more like her late father. Like dictator Mujib, Hasina wish to have full control of the country as her paternal property.

She is a multi-faceted politician. Just listen to her words when she was talking to Quomi Madrassa Teachers last week. She is a world-class hypocrite.

Neither do I like BNP, its full of corrupt politicians and opportunists. Most BNP politicians are much corrupt, including Tareq Zia. Damaging Tareq Zia is defintely helping the career of Sajib Wajed Joy.

Hasina is secretly paving the way for her son, to keep the legacy of Mujib. Though Sajib is a spoiled bratt, he spent most of her time in India and US while parting and boozing. He married to a chic Christina and own 2 houses in Virginia worth millions. Not sure how he earned his money. He is an advisor of Prime Minister Seikh Hasina. Well, your guess as good as mine! He does not know the people of Bangladesh. But, he surely knows how to ascend to throne, apparently he has a vision for 'secular' Bangladesh.

Re: [mukto-mona] Re: Fwd: Minor Hindu Boy Coverted to Islam, Law enforcement agencies sided with the Islamists!

I also thought so before reading your comment.
If suicide bombing starts, then this trend will be repeated and will become an habit.More people will be inspired and more suicidal squad will be in formation.
We know that it is very tough job by any government to tackle the terrorists who go out on destruction and suicidal mission.

Prevention is better than cure.
Now-a-days suicidal terror mission is the biggest threat to democracy and development. Any country will be ruined for ever by the suicidal squad.
Government should be more iron handed to find out the those culprits who abduct young children of nay faith and inspired them on Jihad mantra.

RE: [ALOCHONA] Govt tightens noose round qoumi madrassahs

I believe all of you already know that there is no madrasa in the middle eastern countries, even though they are muslim countries for long time. Even Saudi has no madrsa system of education. Earlier all they had moktoba like morning/evening quran study sessions in the mosques. Later only Egypt started an University. Then came colonizations to middle eastern countries having no educational facilities. After liberations, each country started school, college anbd university systems like ours and western countries.  Madras system started in Deobond, India.

What's there to control? They still don't know what kind of policy they would like to put them under. Question is, who is going to enforce the policy to regulate madrasas and what happens when BAL is no longer in power? There are good madrasas and Al-Qaeda/Jamaat/Shibir recruiting centers. The latter ones need to be closed and the students need to be rehabilitated.

DCs asked to collect info
Siddiqur Rahman Khan

The education ministry on Monday issued a directive to all deputy commissioners asking them to collect information about qoumi madrassahs as part of a government move to establish control over them.
The ministry in its letter said that the government wanted to exert some control over all the qoumi, nurani, forkania, hafizia and ahle hadith madrassahs and mosque-based religious institutions.
'At present such religious institutions are running without the control of the Bangladesh Madrassah Education Board,' said the letter.
'You [DCs] are asked to gather information about the source of funds, number of madrassahs and their students and teachers, date of their establishment and syllabus and send it [data] to the ministry by April 23,' said the letter signed by a deputy-secretary (madrassah section) of the ministry.
On April 1, law minister Shafique Ahmed told reporters that the government wanted to bring all madrassahs in the country under a policy guideline by registering them.
Shafique termed the qoumi madrassahs as the breeding grounds for militancy. He said that the present activities of the militants using religion were against religion and Islam as well. 'Islam never and cannot allow such militancy.'
The law minister's announcement came after a huge cache of arms and ammunition was seized from a Bhola madrassah, funded by Green Crescent , a UK-based charity, on Mach 24.
Following Shafique's announcement a number of religious leaders and associations of quomi madrassah teachers demanded his resignation.
Different intelligence agencies launched investigations into the activities of the qoumi madrassahs after the countrywide series of blasts on August 17, 2005, based on the information that these institutions provided guerrilla training to the students with a view to establishing Islamic rule in Bangladesh .
The investigation substantiated the information and the intelligence agencies marked 323 qoumi madrassahs, where militant training was taking place. The intelligence agencies also suggested that the government should monitor the activities of the madrassahs and trace the source of their funding.
Since there is no government control over qoumi madrassahs, anybody can set up such madrassahs anywhere in the country.
The first-ever survey conducted by the Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics in December 2008 said that there were 5,230 quomi madrassahs with about 14 lakh students.
The majority of the qoumi madrassahs are located in Sylhet, Barisal Chittagong and greater Mymensingh.

[mukto-mona] Re: Allah confused

WRT: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mukto-mona/message/51553

God is man-made, so god is what you make it to be. god can be stupid, god can be illiterate, god can be confused as well. Some gods are kind and gentle while others are cruel and violent. In the history of mankind no god has served the humanity well. It is now the tme to liberate god from human bondage. Free-god is a happy god in his own goddom.

[ALOCHONA] BTV became Awami league's mouth piece - shame

Awami Government made everything politicize. This uncivilized party is a curse for the Bengali Nation. We are baggers now due to Awami league's adopted economic policy in 1972 when Sheikh Muzibur Rahaman nationalized all the foreign owned industries; thus he discouraged foreign investment in our country.

Pakistan till 1970 was the highest economic growth country in the world. That has been destroyed by Awami league after math of 1970; Later on other Government tried to recall those foreign investors but prior mis-trust destroyed their faith diverted their investment to other part of the world.

Sheikh Muzib was a politician from remote village whose father even did not see what was the industry, who do not understand the economics. the same we see with Sheikh Hasina.

Bengali Nation must be properly educated to save themselves from such a naughty political party and its government.

[mukto-mona] Wash Post - Mumbai's "vegetarian buildings keep out Muslims

India's Muslims See Bias in Housing

Recent Increase Is Blamed on Islamist Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai Last Fall

By Emily Wax

Washington Post Foreign Service

Sunday, April 19, 2009

MUMBAI -- The sunny apartment had everything Palvisha Aslam, 22, a Bollywood producer, wanted: a spacious bedroom and a kitchen that overlooked a garden in a middle-class neighborhood that was a short commute to Film City, where many of India's Hindi movies are shot.

She was about to sign the lease when the real estate broker noticed her surname. He didn't realize that she was Muslim, he said. Then he rejected her. It was just six weeks after the November Mumbai terrorist attacks and Indian Muslims were being viewed with suspicion across the country. He then showed her a grimy one-room tenement in a Muslim-dominated ghetto. She felt sick to her stomach as she watched the residents fight over water at a leaky tap in a dark alley.

"That night I cried a lot. I was still an outcast in my own country -- even as a secular Muslim with a well-paid job in Bollywood," said Aslam, who had similar experiences with five other brokers and three months later is still sleeping on friends' sofas. "I'm an Indian. I love my country. Is it a crime now to be a Muslim in Mumbai?"

In the months after the brazen three-day Mumbai terrorist attacks, stories like Aslam's are common, even among some of the country's most beloved Bollywood actors, screenwriters and producers in India's most cosmopolitan city. The accusations of discrimination highlight the often simmering religious tensions in the world's biggest democracy, where Muslim celebrities can be feted on the red carpet one minute and locked out of quality housing the next.

The phenomenon has become known here as "renting while Muslim." It raises questions that go to the heart of India's identity as a secular democracy that is home to nearly every major religion on the planet. Although India has a Hindu majority, it also has 150 million Muslims, one of the largest Muslim communities in the world.

"The new generation wants a better India that isn't bogged down in religious strife," said Junaid Memon, 34, a Muslim Bollywood director who is trying to promote religious harmony through his films and his Facebook site. "We shouldn't be an India that ghettoizes all Muslims to apartments near a mosque. This is a real test for modern India."

With national elections across India that began Thursday and last a month, some Muslim activists and Bollywood film directors are raising the issue with political parties and trying to form a voting bloc.

"This election, we have to talk about housing discrimination against Muslims," said Zulfi Sayed, a Muslim actor who is outspoken about the issue and is courting Hindus who agree with him. "In a shining India, this shouldn't be still such a common practice."

Muslims have long served as an important swing vote in India, since Hindus are increasingly divided among nearly 200 regional parties. Historically, India's Congress party won elections with the help of the Muslim vote by running on a platform of promoting religious diversity. The opposition Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party has, at times, used anti-Muslim sentiment to court votes while pledging to keep Hindu heritage alive.

India blames the Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Lashkar-i-Taiba for the November attack in which 10 gunmen left more than 170 people dead, including 40 Indian Muslims.

Many Muslims here feared the attacks would unleash cycles of revenge killing of the sort that have recurred throughout India's modern history, from the violence of partition between India and Pakistan in 1947 to the 1992 riots in Mumbai. In the days after November's Mumbai attacks, Muslims from all corners of society united, holding candlelight vigils with a message to protest terrorism and pledge loyalty to India. In the end, there was no communal violence.

But across the country, reports of housing discrimination have increased.

Afroz Alam Sahil, 21, a student activist at Jamia Millia Islamia College in New Delhi, said that more than a dozen students from states such as Uttar Pradesh and Bihar -- which have large Muslim populations -- have been unable to find housing since the Mumbai attacks.

"Some Muslim friends have dropped out of college because they have nowhere to stay," Sahil said. "There is intense suspicion. Sometimes I ask myself why I was born Muslim."

Rana Afroz, a Muslim editor with the newspaper the Hindu, is investigating the issue after spending three months unable to find a landlord willing to rent to her and her husband.

"It is ridiculous that I have to prove to non-Muslims that I am not making bombs in my kitchen," she said. "Is this really the modern India I live in?"

In India, Muslims are often segregated, and they experience high poverty rates and low literacy. Although they make up nearly 14 percent of India's population, they hold fewer than 5 percent of government posts and are just 4 percent of the student body in India's elite universities, according to a 2006 government report.

But there are few issues more emotional than housing, especially in Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, India's pulsating city of dreams where aspiring farmers and filmmakers come from across the country to seek fame and fortune.

"The ethos of Bombay is a city open to the world. The Muslims of this city feel that way, too. But the real question is why do we as Indian Muslims always have to be proving our loyalty?" asked Nawman Malik, a popular Bollywood producer who spent months searching for an apartment.

Mumbai has always had tensions over what are known here as "vegetarian buildings," where meat eaters are not allowed to live and are thus seen as devices to keep out Muslims and lower-caste Hindus. Those kinds of buildings have become more common in middle-class and posh neighborhoods as more merchants and industrialists from the neighboring state of Gujarat, where vegetarian Hinduism is the norm, migrate to India's richest city.

Managers of vegetarian buildings say they don't want the smell of meat in their hallways. But they often also explain their rules by saying they are worried about security and want like-minded residents to live together.

"Say you check one renter and they seem okay. But then they go to mosque and bring back their bearded friends and those friends are terrorists," said Raj Pathak, a vegetarian-building manager in downtown Mumbai. "Why do we have to live with such fears?"

Muslims, who have seen housing discrimination and the number of vegetarian buildings spike after every terrorist attack, see the issue as blatant discrimination.

"Everyone knows the vegetarian-only restriction is code language for 'No Muslims,' " said Naved Khan, a Muslim real estate broker who is trying to help Bollywood's Muslims find housing.

On a recent afternoon, Aslam, the producer, hung out at a cafe, as she sometimes does so she doesn't get on the nerves of those she is staying with. She wore jeans and a hooded sweat shirt.

Until January, she was living with a Hindu roommate. Then their lease ended. Her roommate was getting married.

"So I thought I would get my own place as a successful adult," said Aslam, who had come to Mumbai from Kolkata with dreams of landing a Bollywood job. "My mom was really proud of me. Now she's really upset."

A broker recently showed her a house in a working-class neighborhood. "It looked haunted. But I was denied even that," she said.

Another broker gave her advice: "Madam, live with a Hindu roommate. Only then will you get a flat."

Special correspondent Ria Sen in New Delhi contributed to this report.

If any one want to understand creator, he should go through all the
Ayats on God in the Quran, just not the word Nur.He should know how to
interpret and understand the Quranic words ( Hakiki-Mazaji,
Sarih-Kinaya, Mutlaq-Mukayyad etc from Usul al Fiqh.

There is no sahih basis for 72 wives.Quran says that all persons in

RE: *~history**Islam~*** RE: [mukto-mona] Answering Mr. S.A. Hannan's argument on Islam and ideological warfare

Dear sirs,

Assalamu Alaikum. In most fundamentals relevant to fundamental faith and our main worldly concerns, you will find that great majority of scholars are on one side, there may be one or two exceptions. The real problem is not so big while you implement at state level. This was not a big problem in Khilafat period or Umayyad or Abbasi period or during Mughals or Usmanis.

[mukto-mona] Australia will avoid summit on racism

Australia will avoid summit on racism

  • Stephanie Peatling
  • April 20, 2009

AUSTRALIA has followed the lead of the United States and pulled out of an international conference on racism on the grounds it might be anti-Semitic.

The run-up to the United Nations conference has been marked by charges that some countries were exploiting it to criticise Israel for its occupation of Palestinian territories.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Stephen Smith, confirmed yesterday that Australia would stay away. He was not convinced the forum would not be a "platform for anti-Semitic sentiment".

"Australia has taken this decision with regret as Australians are a people committed to eliminating racism and racial discrimination," Mr Smith said.

The US, Canada, Italy and Israel have declined to attend.

A key Israeli objection is that the UN committee managing the conference is chaired by Libya, with vice-chairmen from Iran, Pakistan, Cuba, Russia, Indonesia and Turkey.

A 2001 predecessor to the conference, held in South Africa, was hurt by walk-outs over alleged anti-Semitism. The 2001 World Conference Against Racism declared "the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination" while recognising "the right to security for all states in the region, including Israel".

Mr Smith said the Government could not go the conference, which starts in Geneva today, so long as its aim was to reaffirm the 2001 declaration.

The Australian Human Rights Commission will send a small delegation. The Race Discrimination Commissioner, Tom Calma, said last week that the conference was important because it would look at the role of national human rights institutions, policing, diversity and the rights of indigenous peoples.

Added for flavor!

Could you define and distinguish Semites Please. Could you also let us know that under what law, moral or authority the Semites are superior the than non-Semites and why so called "anti-Semitism" is the cardinal sin of the century?

Further to Australia will avoid summit on racism, World Conference against Racism and Xenophobia and Venue and duration of 2009 anti-racism review conference to be decided on 26 May the Zionised Petition refused to accept the fact that Zionism is worse than Nazism. The Sacred Cow is further proof of the Zionist hypocrisy blatant double standard.

Where Is Free Speech?

Freedom of Speech and Debate and Discussion are rarely recognised in the Lucky Country in accordance with the Australian Values! Deliberately impotent NSW Anti-Discrimination Board allows Muslim and Christian Bashing in NSW. In seven European countries denial of "holocaust" is a crime!

The Strip Search of New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and the father and daughter episode was covered up nicely by the Zionised media of Australia this includes the article Lord Downer of Baghdad! The story, legs are open for business and the Brazilian connection also fall into this category. The above information is sufficient to prove that Australian politicians and media personalities would sell their own mothers for Israel.

Further evidence could be found by examining the WORLD CONFERENCE AGAINST RACISM, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, XENOPHOBIA AND RELATED INTOLERANCE Durban, 31 August-7 September 2001 and Durban Review Conference, 20-24 April 2009, Geneva, Press Release as Israel and the USA walked out from the Durban Conference and now they are boycotting the Geneva Conference too. Would you believe in addition Australia also is going to boycott the Geneva Conference without any public debate or discussion whatsoever which clearly demonstrates the Australian governments true and unconditional submission and craven behavior to the Israeli government and their racism, sexism and xenophobia!

By the way Zionism is worse than Nazism. The article The Sacred Cow is further proof of the Zionist hypocrisy and blatant double standard. Morons & White Trash are ruling the airwaves, radio, television, newspapers as well as some demented leftists too. Do we have any chance?

Indeed even our esteemed national ABC does not know how to spell (willful) "wilful" (SIC)

Holocaust denier guilty of contempt

ABC - April 16, 2009, 3:56 pm

ABC News © [Enlarge photo]

A federal court has ruled that a revisionist historian breached previous court orders by publishing offensive material about Jews and the Holocaust on a website.

The former president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, Jeremy Jones, launched a civil action against Frederick Toben after he published claims on the Adelaide Institute's website that the holocaust never happened.

The material also implied that Jewish people who challenged Holocaust deniers were of limited intelligence.

Today Justice Lander found Toben guilty of wilful contempt of court on 24 out of 28 possible counts.

The court will decide his penalty at a further hearing this month.

Dr Toben says he does not regret his actions.

"If you believe in something and you want to have that freedom to express your opinions then you should be prepared for sacrifices," he said.

Australian Culture

The other day in the very early hours of the morning a community activist was working away at a net shop computer. During that time his mobile phone rang and he was explaining Australian culture to someone. He said, "Australian culture is based on cock sucking, some of us also like it in the arse, even when it bleeds". He was interrupted by a female voice, "excuse me I find these comments offensive".

Community Activist: Beg your pardon, why are you listening to my private conversation? By the way, are you telling me that you have not sucked a cock in your life?

Female Person: But I don't take it thorough my ass.

CA: Some people do.

At that point in time a couple of more people join in the discussion by saying, "why don't you like this country and why are you so rude"?

CA: Nothing wrong with this country and in fact some leaders and media outlets have got it wrong. I am not rude. I am telling the truth and I am not obliged to make any explanation. However, I won't disappoint you.

He continued.

CA: Do you like racism, sexism, xenophobia and other forms of discrimination?

FP: No.

CA: Well we believe the same thing and it appears we can be friends. You see in the year 2001 they had a World Conference Against Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination at Durban, South Africa. The decision and agenda of that conference was sound and pragmatic. All of the countries of the world have participated in that conference in good faith. Only Israel and the Zionist slave the USA walked out of that conference without providing a valid reason. In two weeks time the same conference will be held in Geneva, Switzerland. This time too, `lovely' Israel and `good old' USA said they won't be going there! Little Kevin said earlier, we are considering our position regarding this matter. In the meantime we have not had any debate or discussion anywhere including radio, television or newspaper. Yet, Kevin Rudd made a secret decision to boycott that well meaning conference! Are you telling me that Australia officially supports racism, xenophobia and other forms of discrimination including sexism? You see, we are sucking Israeli's cock and taking it up the arse. It is disgusting. Would you believe this is not the first and last time we have done it! Before this latest situation we have had Gallipoli, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Malaya, Afghanistan, Iraq, …..  We don't want to stop or learn a lesson from them do we?

Always kowtowing, sycophantic and submissive at great cost to the Australian people. The people involved in this conversation above are well meaning average people of Australia, they are slightly naïve, and they're standard response is to say," F… that mate…we're going for a beer…have a nice day."

Re: [mukto-mona] Re: Fwd: Minor Hindu Boy Coverted to Islam, Law enforcement agencies sided with the Islamists!

Many Muslims in Bangladesh and elsewhere believe that conversion of a
non-Muslim into Islam will give them a sure passage to their desired heaven
complete with houries and saraban tahura. They are at all levels of the
society. I have met them all my life. The problem lies elsewhere. A few
generations later, children of these converts would believe that their
ancestors had come from the holy Arabian land. ( The land was deemed to be
not so important before oil was discovered. I am sure, once the oil runs
out, it will revert to it's previous state.)

[ALOCHONA] India tells Bangla to watch out for assassination plot! Be safe!

What's new in it?

It's India's interest to keep Hasina under their fold. So, they tried to create panacea of fear, Hasina will be another poodle of India if she constantly live under fear! India has a vested interest in Bangladesh graping resources like, gas, transit and 2.5 billion dollar exports.

The best service Hasina can do as a daughter of Bongobondhu Seikh Mujib is to retire from politics and promote 'sonar Bangladesh' for the good of Mujib's legacy! But, she has the burning desire for revenge, she's a blood-thirsty politician - the sign is everywhere! Look around, its written on the wall, BDR massacre, killing of innocent victims in universities, this is a pillage, this is holier than thou, bravo Hasina!

India has warned Bangladesh of a possible assassination plot targeting the country's political leadership, including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, during Foreign secretary Shiv Shanker Menon's visit to Dhaka early this week.

Home Ministry, sources told The Indian Express, said that New Delhi picked up intelligence on this in the form of "electronic chatter" by terrorist groups active in the neighbourhood in recent weeks.

Sources said there was specific intelligence on a plot to target the new Sheikh Hasina Government in those conversations intercepted by Indian intelligence agencies. That prompted India to go ahead and warn the Bangladesh top brass of the threat. Given the sensitivity of the information, Menon himself went to Dhaka to convey the information.

The Foreign Secretary met Hasina, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, Foreign Secretary Mohammad Touhid Hossain and Bangladesh Army chief General Moin U Ahmed on Monday.

Radical and terror groups in Bangladesh have been under pressure after the Sheikh Hasina Government came to power earlier this year.

New Delhi and Dhaka have an agreement to share information on counter-terrorism and in this context, Menon exchanged notes with his counterpart on the activities of the radical groups operating in Bangladesh and are suspected to have played a role in the recent BDR massacre.

In the first high-level contact with Bangladesh after the February 25 BDR mutiny, India is believed to have emphasised the need to crack down on elements which aim to destabilise peace and security in the two countries in particular and the region as a whole.
