লাদেনের চেয়ে ভয়ঙ্কর খালেদা

বর্তমান বিশ্বের সব থেকে বড় সমস্যা সন্ত্রাসবাদ। এই সন্ত্রাসবাদকে মোকাবেলা করতে হিমশিম খাচ্ছে গোটা পৃথিবী। দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পরে পৃথিবীর সামনে মানুষের জন্য মানবসৃষ্ট এত বড় বিপদ আর সৃষ্টি হয়নি। পৃথিবীর যে ফোরামে যে ক'জন বিশ্বনেতা এক হোন না কেন, তাদের অন্তত একটি অঙ্গীকার থাকে যে, জঙ্গী ও সন্ত্রাসমুক্তির যুদ্ধে তাঁরা এক হয়ে যুদ্ধ করবেন। 
যুদ্ধ করাটা সহজ। কিন্তু কখন যুদ্ধ করতে হবে, কার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে হবে তা সঠিক চিহ্নিত করতে না পারলে ওই যুদ্ধে জেতার কোন কারণ নেই। তাই এখন বিশ্ব নেতাদের প্রথমেই চিহ্নিত করা প্রয়োজন এই মুহূর্তে কার নেতৃত্বে, কার প্রশ্রয়ে, কী ভাবে জঙ্গী বাড়ছে, সন্ত্রাসী বাড়ছে। এই সঠিক শত্রু চিহ্নিত করতে না পারলে কোন যুদ্ধেই জয়লাভ করা যায় না। যখন কোন একটি দেশ আরেকটি দেশের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ ঘোষণা করে বা কয়েকটি দেশ বা জোট মিলিত হয়ে আরেকটি জোট বা দেশের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ ঘোষণা করে, তখন ওই যুদ্ধ হয় খুব সহজ যুদ্ধ। কারণ, শত্রু তখন চিহ্নিত। কিন্তু সন্ত্রাসবাদ বা জঙ্গীবাদ জটিল বিষয় এবং এর আশ্রয় ও প্রশ্রয়দাতারা আরও রহস্যজনক। যে কারণে সন্ত্রাসবাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ অনেক জটিল, অনেক কঠিন। বর্তমান বিশ্ব সেই যুদ্ধে নেমেছে। তাই সারা পৃথিবীর শান্তিপ্রিয়, জঙ্গীবাদ বিরোধী মানুষ ও নেতৃত্বকে এখন খুব বিচক্ষণতার সঙ্গে এগুতে হবে। 
বর্তমান বিশ্বের এই জঙ্গীবাদ সৃষ্টির ইতিহাসে গিয়ে লেখার কলেবর বড় না করে সোজাসুজি বলা যায়, জঙ্গীবাদের একটি পর্যায়ে এসে চিহ্নিত হয় লাদেনই পৃথিবীর জঙ্গীদের অন্যতম নেতৃত্ব। তালেবানের নেতা লাদেনের নেতৃত্বে সৃষ্টি হয় আধুনিক অস্ত্রের ট্রেনিং নেয়া এক বিশাল জঙ্গীবাহিনী। আইএসআইয়ের এক প্রাক্তন কর্মকর্তার আত্মজীবনীতে জানা যায়, তালেবানরা যখন সোভিয়েত বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করেছিল, ওই সময়ে শুধু আইএসআই ৮০ হাজার তালেবানকে ট্রেনিং দিয়েছিল। আর এই ৮০ হাজার ছিল বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের। আইএসআই ৮০ হাজার তালেবানকে ট্রেনিং দেয়। এছাড়া আমেরিকা ও লাদেনের তৎকালীন অন্য মিত্রদের সহযোগিতায় আরও তালেবান ট্রেনিং নেয়। যাহোক, ইতিহাসের পরিক্রমায় আজ আমেরিকা তালেবানদের শত্রু। অনেক দেরিতে হলেও তাদের কিছুটা উপলব্ধি হয়েছে এবং সেটা আরও বেশি করে তারা বুঝতে পেরেছে যখন তাদের ওপর বার বার এই জঙ্গী হামলা ও সর্বশেষ টুইন টাওয়ারে হামলা হয়। এর পরে আমেরিকা সর্বাত্মক যুদ্ধ ঘোষণা করে তালেবানদের বিরুদ্ধে। সর্বশেষ সফল অপারেশন চালিয়ে তারা লাদেনকে হত্যা করে। 
আমেরিকা লাদেনকে হত্যা করেছে ঠিকই। কিন্তু তালেবানকে নিষ্ক্রিয় বা নিশ্চিহ্ন করতে পারেনি। লাদেনের সেকেন্ড ইন কমান্ড জাওয়াহিরি এখন তালেবানের দায়িত্ব নিয়েছে। তবে তার থেকে বড় হলো, একমাত্র আইএসআই যে ৮০ হাজার তালেবান ট্রেনিং দিল তারা কোথায় গেল? তারা কিন্তু এখন আর শুধু আফগান ও পাকিস্তানে নেই। তারা সারা পৃথিবীতে যেখানে তাদের জন্য সুবিধাজনক স্থান পেয়েছে, সেখানেই ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। শুধু যে তারা ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে তা নয়, তারা ওই সব স্থানে তাদের অবস্থান সুসংগঠিত করছে এবং বিস্তৃত করছে তাদের কাজ। এই তালেবানরা যেসব দেশে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে ও তাদের অবস্থান বিস্তৃত ও সুংগঠিত করছে, তার ভেতর অন্যতম দেশ বাংলাদেশ। বাংলাদেশের সরকার আত্মপ্রাসাদে ভুগতে পারে যে, তারা দেশে জঙ্গীবাদ দমনে সমর্থ হয়েছে। জানিনা, বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ সরকার এমনটি মনে করে কিনা? কিন্তু বাস্তবতা সম্পূর্ণ ভিন্ন। পৃথিবীর যে কয়টি দেশ জঙ্গীদের অবস্থান সুদৃঢ় করার জন্য এবং বিস্তৃতি লাভ করার জন্য উর্বর ক্ষেত্র, বাংলাদেশ তার ভিতর অন্যতম। বাংলাদেশ যে জঙ্গীদের জন্য অন্যতম উর্বর ক্ষেত্র তার প্রমাণ কিন্তু ইতোমধ্যে পাওয়া গেছে। আন্তর্জাতিক গবেষণা সংস্থা বলছে, পৃথিবীর তিন নম্বর সশস্ত্র জঙ্গী সংগঠন ইসলামী ছাত্র শিবির। আর তারা গত এক বছরের বেশি সময় ধরে বাংলাদেশে রাষ্ট্রের বিরুদ্ধে ও মানুষের বিরুদ্ধে কোন্ ধরনের জঙ্গী হামলা চালিয়েছে সেটা উল্লেখ করার আর কোন প্রয়োজন পড়ে না। কারণ, দেশের মানুষ সেটা প্রত্যক্ষ করেছে। এই ইসলামী ছাত্র শিবিরের মূল সংগঠন জামায়াতে ইসলামীও বাংলাদেশে প্রত্যক্ষভাবে কাজ করছে। তাদের আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো এখানে নানান পথে জঙ্গী বা ইসলামী মৌলবাদী সন্ত্রাসীদের অবস্থান দৃঢ় করার জন্য কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। এছাড়া হিযবুত তাহরীর, ইসলামিক ব্রাদারহুড, জয়শ-ই-মোহাম্মদ ও তালেবানসহ শতাধিক জঙ্গী সংগঠন বাংলাদেশে তাদের কাজ চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। তারা শুধু শহরে নয়, প্রত্যন্ত এলাকায় তাদের অবস্থান দৃঢ় করার জন্য নানান ধরনের ধর্মীয় লেবাসের কৌশল ও বিপুল পরিমাণ অর্থব্যয় করে চলেছে। তারা আজ এ অবস্থানে এসে দাঁড়িয়েছে যে, বাংলাদেশ সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে আরবান গেরিলা ওয়ার শুরু করেছে এবং সেটা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। এই যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য বর্তমান তালেবান প্রধান জাওয়াহিরি ভিডিও বার্তার মাধ্যমে আহ্বানও জানিয়েছে। 
পৃথিবীর অনেক দেশে এমনিভাবে বর্তমান মুহূর্তে শত শত ইসলামিক মৌলবাদী জঙ্গী সংগঠন কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। তারা একের পর এক সন্ত্রাসী কর্মকা- চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। এমনকি তারা তাদের এই কাজ চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে আমেরিকা, বৃটেন, চীন ও ভারতের মতো দেশগুলোতে বসেও। এ সপ্তাহে চীনে ইসলামিক জঙ্গী মৌলবাদীদের হামলায় ৩৩ জন নিহত হয়েছেন। কিন্তু এই সব দেশ থেকে বাংলাদেশ জঙ্গীদের জন্য অনেক উর্বর ক্ষেত্র এবং বাংলাদেশ এই জঙ্গীদের জন্য উর্বর ক্ষেত্র হিসেবে পরিণত হওয়ার পেছনে বুঝে বা না বুঝে হোক সব থেকে বড় ভূমিকা রাখছে বাংলাদেশের এক শ্রেণীর মিডিয়া ও তাদের পরিচালক, আমেরিকাসহ পশ্চিমা অনেক রাষ্ট্রদূত এবং বাংলাদেশের কিছু তথাকথিত সুশীল সমাজ। তারা ইসলামী ছাত্র শিবিরের মাদার অর্গানাইজেশন জামায়াতে ইসলামীকে মডারেট মুসলিম দল হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে তাদের এই সকল জঙ্গী কা- চালানোর জন্য একটি বড় সুযোগ তৈরি করে দিচ্ছে। অন্যদিকে এই ইসলামী ছাত্র শিবির থেকে শুরু করে জামায়াতে ইসলামীসহ যে শতাধিক জঙ্গী সংগঠন বাংলাদেশে কাজ করছে, তাদের পূর্ণ পৃষ্ঠপোষকতা দিচ্ছে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী দল (বিএনপি) নেতা খালেদা জিয়া। অথচ সেই খালেদা জিয়াকে বলা হচ্ছে একটি সেন্টার রাইট পলিটিকাল পার্টির নেতা। 
খালেদা জিয়াকে সেন্টার রাইট পলিটিক্যাল পার্টির নেতা হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করার ফলে ইসলামী ছাত্র শিবির, জামায়াতে ইসলামীসহ শতাধিক জঙ্গী সংগঠন সুযোগ পেয়ে যাচ্ছে সেন্টার রাইট বা মডারেট মুসলিম কভারেজে থেকে তাদের জঙ্গী তৎপরতা চালানোর। অন্যদিকে বেগম জিয়াও মাস পিপলের পলিটিক্যাল পার্টি হিসেবে জঙ্গীদের আশ্রয় দিয়ে দেশটাকে জঙ্গী ও মৌলবাদী সন্ত্রাসীদের উর্বর ও নিরাপদ ভূমিতে পরিণত করার সুযোগ করে দিচ্ছেন। যার ফলে আজ শুধু বাংলাদেশী সন্ত্রাসী নয়, বিশ্বের অন্যান্য জায়গা থেকে জঙ্গীরা এসে বাংলাদেশে অবস্থান নিচ্ছে। যার কয়েকটি উদাহরণ দেশের মানুষ দেখেছে। শাহবাগ আন্দোলনকে ধ্বংস করার সময় জামায়াত ও খালেদা নেতৃত্বাধীন জোটের ডাকে যে হরতাল হয়, সে সময়ে শাহবাগে পাকিস্তানী জঙ্গী ধরা পড়ে। ঠিক একইভাবে পাটগ্রামে ভারতীয় জঙ্গী ধরা পড়ে। তাদের এখানে আসার কারণটি কিন্তু অতি সহজ। আন্তর্জাতিক জঙ্গীরা এই সত্য চিহ্নিত করতে পেরেছে যে, খালেদা জিয়া রাজনীতির নামে বাংলাদেশে যেভাবে জঙ্গীদের আশ্রয় দিতে ও নিরাপত্তা দিতে পারছে এ সুযোগ অন্য কোথাও নেই। তাঁর রাজনীতির পর্দার আড়ালে যেভাবে জঙ্গীদের লুকিয়ে রাখতে পারছে এমন সুযোগটি পৃথিবীতে কোথাও নেই। আর এই সত্যটি সকল রাজনৈতিক স্বার্থ, ব্যক্তি স্বার্থে এবং আর্থিক স্বার্থের উর্ধে উঠে স্বীকার করতে হবে যে, মাস পিপলের পলিটিক্যাল পার্টি হিসেবে খালেদা যেভাবে জঙ্গীদের আশ্রয় দিচ্ছেন, তাদের জঙ্গী কর্মকা- চালানোর সুযোগ করে দিচ্ছেন , তাদের সঙ্গে এক সঙ্গে কর্মসূচী দিচ্ছেন, তাদের সন্ত্রাসী কর্মকা-ের সঙ্গে নিজের দলকে যুক্ত করছেন এমনটি পৃথিবীতে আর কোথাও নেই। 
সত্যি অর্থে লাদেন এই সুযোগ জঙ্গীদের দিতে পারেনি। পাকিস্তানেরও কোন মাস পিপলের পলিটিকাল পার্টি এ সুযোগ জঙ্গীদের দিতে পারেনি। ইউরোপ, আমেরিকা বা অন্যান্য কোন দেশেও এটা সম্ভব হচ্ছে না। কিন্তু বাংলাদেশে সেটা ঘটছে। যে কারণে খালেদা যখন বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্র ক্ষমতায় ছিলেন তালেবান নেতা জাওয়াহিরি সে সময়ে বাংলাদেশে এসেছিল। এখন জামায়াতে ইসলামী, হেফাজতসহ শতাধিক জঙ্গী সংগঠন নিয়ে খালেদা যখন সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে আরবান গেরিলা যুদ্ধ করছেন, সে সময়ে তালেবান নেতা জাওয়াহিরি ওই যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য ভিডিও বার্তা পাঠাচ্ছে। এই ভিডিও বার্তা জঙ্গীদের একটি কৌশল। খালেদা নিজেও এই কৌশল এখন গ্রহণ করেছেন। 
বাংলাদেশকে এখন যদি বাংলাদেশের মানুষ ও বিশ্ব সম্প্রদায় জঙ্গীমুক্ত করতে চায়, তাদের এই সত্য উপলব্ধি করতে হবে যে, অনেক জনসমর্থনের বা মাস পিপলের রাজনৈতিক দল হিসেবে পৃথিবীতে খালেদাই একমাত্র জঙ্গীদের সমর্থন করছেন। তাদের বেড়ে ওঠার ও কার্যকলাপ চালানোর সব সুযোগ করে দিচ্ছেন। যে সুযোগ লাদেনেরও ছিল না। তাই জঙ্গী নেতা হিসেবে ছদ্মাবরণে থাকলেও খালেদা অনেক বেশি ভয়ঙ্কর লাদেনের থেকে। পৃথিবীকে জঙ্গীমুক্ত করতে হলে বিশ্বনেতৃত্বকে এই সত্য বুঝতে হবে। এ সত্য বুঝতে হবে আমেরিকাসহ অন্য যে সব পশ্চিমা দেশ এখনও খালেদাকে মডারেট মুসলিম নেতা হিসেবে মনে করছেন। এ কথা সত্য, গোটা বিএনপি জঙ্গী নয়। মওদুদ আহমদরা জঙ্গী নন। তবে খালেদা এখন লাদেনের থেকে ভয়ঙ্কর জঙ্গী নেতা। আর তারেক রহমান তো নিজেই বলেছেন, ইসলামী ছাত্র শিবির ও ছাত্রদল একই মায়ের সন্তান। তাই তারেক রহমান আর ইসলামিক ছাত্র শিবিরের কোন পার্থক্য নেই। এ কারণে বাংলাদেশের শান্তিপ্রিয় মানুষ ও বিশ্ব সম্প্রদায়ের মিলিত চেষ্টায় যতক্ষণ দেশকে এই লাদেনের থেকে ভয়ঙ্কর জঙ্গী নেতা হতে মুক্ত করা না যাবে, ততক্ষণে এটা গোটা বিশ্বের নিরাপত্তার জন্য হুমকি আর দক্ষিণ এবং দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব এশিয়ার জন্য অবশ্যই।

Chaudhury was around 55 or so when he started his English life. It seems like he could have gone anywhere and shine. Considering his temperament, I do not believe he would let others to write on behalf of him. Besides, his writing volume is far smaller than Sunil and others.
Humayun did write some poems at later stage when he became popular and famous in Bangladesh. As I said, I am not a Humayun fan..

I cannot agree with Prof. Das that Nirad C. Chaudhury had a ghost writer (supposedly Sunil had). You may remember the detective novel series Masud Rana by Kazi Anwar Hossain (son of Kazi Motahar Hossain). He had paid ghost writers to write Masud Rana. I knew one personally. Any way, if writing is used as a money making machine, you produce garbage by yourself or by outsourcing it to some less talented writers. It is hard to believe that a personality like Nirad C. Chaudhury would do it. He went to England when he was in his early sixties. He did his Ph.D. Probably he never had a good job. He was a scholar, an original thinker, and a confident (sometimes sounding arrogant) man. He did not read any Bengali books after 1960 or so. I enjoy his writings.

Nirad C had the lucrative Western Market.  His autobiography is excellent and sometimes way above his average standard.  Ghost writer might have done much of his job? His  book on Hinduism produced with the support of a fellowship at a rather old age is rubbish.  If Sunil had enough command on English, he could have done better.

I would not compare Sunil with Humayun. Sorry to say that I have two different standards for the East and West Bengal. Humayun was a popular writer in Bangladesh but he never really tickled me as a good writer. Since the man is dead, I would not criticize him. He would not have passed the West Bengal standard. For Sunil, he was a factory and wrote too much and some came out OK but he did write for the money as Humayun. Not that, that is bad for a writer. But I prefer non-commercial writer like late Nirad Sri Chaudhury.

Sunil had a decent job in Ananda Bazar Patrika to fill its magazines with novels and poems. So his books were the obvious outcome and those were better than made by Humayun.  He also had a desk reserved in the National Library in Calcutta.  He read as much as he could.  I find nothing wrong in his overtures to the Goddess Saraswati, even Kalidas had it when he chanted on the adornment of her breasts.

A decent person does not sell that many books now a days. The man was a commercial writer from the get go and most of the products that he has produced are not of that good quality. Now, if create some drama and irrational sensation, suddenly, you get the public attention and with that you can inflate your demand and wallet. Salman Rushdie is another example.
But with the breath, I must say, nothing should be considered as holy. If there is a logic to go after something, I say, go for it!

This is exactly what a decent man would do, but – Sunil was not a decent man. He was an arrogant man, too full of himself. He deliberately wanted to provoke followers of Hindu traditions. Remember Sunil Ganguly created controversy by saying that on his young life the goddess Saraswati used to provoke sex in him? He was sued by a retired Hindu police officer. He was criticized heavily  by many atheists, liberals, and believers.

On a more serious note, I think Dr. Roy's question of "what's the meaning of "crude bashing"" needs to be addressed, discussed and debated.

 

To me, an example of "crude bashing" of religion would be drawing a so-called prophet/avatar/god in a disrespectful manner, such as pig face or sexually explicit. It would serve only to provoke the believer, with no attempt to educate, and I would condemn it.

 

However, calling an unjust/hateful/barbaric religious teaching unjust/hateful/barbaric is not what I would call "crude bashing", although personally I would avoid doing the criticism. That is primarily because I do realize that people were less educated and less civilized when those teachings came about. There is no point in criticizing, or in trying to find the context for respecting, the ignorance/mistakes of our forefathers (the foremothers had very little power). The point really is not to follow (and not allowing to follow) any unjust/hateful/barbaric teachings, irrespective of what religion/tradition had that.

Mr. QR had some questions for me. The following message is in response to his queries. Please publish. 

Kader Siddiquey's promise not to do any politics that will encourage fundamentalism and militancy prompted me to mention Jamat. And you have thanked India for making Kader Siddiquey make such a promise. I simply said that we should also thank some western big brothers for giving us such advice. As I have been repeatedly saying, politics of Jamat and other religion based political parties should be banned. 

External pressure works no doubt. That's what lobbying and diplomacy are for. It works well small and poor countries. It works even for big powers. 

It is not only the jamai babu, dulah bhai, and big brother-in-law will also dictate you. This is reality. They don't need our advice. They know how much time to allocate for what. 

You cannot educate any foreign power. You can educate only yourself and your own people including your leaders and policy makers. It is all power game Mr. QR---local, regional, and global as well. You have to have your own political wisdom, and economic and cultural priorities.

External pressure did little to save innocent Hindus who were attacked day after last national election. Albeit we had rather peaceful Upazila elections all over the nation. BAL can take credit for it.

Indian president's person interest in Bangladesh is not a secret (After all he is our jamai babu). However apparently he spend little too much time into our domestic issues and neglected his own party. So as per recent polls BJP will be taking over the next Indian administration.

Now if he can manage to educate other Indian politicians to give our us fair share of water, we'll become best friends in no time.

(This is an expanded version of the ideas presented in Tenali meeting) Hinduism is not just a faith. It is the union of reason and intuition that can't be defined but is only to be experienced. Dr. S.Radhakrishnan.   Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) participated in a Seminar that dealt with the importance of preserving Sanatana Dharma and the plight of Hindu Temples and Hinduism.  Dr. Rajendra and PrasunaGavini organized this program in Sri Padmavathi Kalyana Mantapam in Tenali on February 7, 2014. Ms. SatyavaniGottipati, asocial activist, who promotes the richness of Sanatana Dharma by her powerful speeches and Dr. Prakasarao Velagapudi, the President of GHHF,were invited to participate in this discussion.               Prakasarao briefly traced the history of GHHF as to when and how GHHF was started, the kind of activities undertaken over the last eight years, and some of the milestones of the movement. He observed that the Andhra Pradesh government passed Hindu Charitable and Endowment Act whereby all the Hindu Temples making 50,000 rupees or more are brought under the government control with full control on the management of the funds donated by the devotees, supervision of the endowed lands of the Hindu Temples, conduct of all religious activities, overseeing the protection of jewelry, administering Hindu Temples and recruiting the employees to manage the operations of the Temples. The government has abused and looted the funds, diverted the funds to other religions, allowed Temple lands to be encroached with no recourses, neglected to oversee the preservation of jewelry and the integrity of Temples structures, allowed the Hindu Temples to be dilapidated, closed their eyes as the Rajagopurams and other structures collapsed, and permitted Labor Unions to be formed which fully exploited the Temple resources.               GHHF has taken several steps to make Hindus aware of the plight of Hindu Temples and the potential danger to Hinduism due to the hateful attitude of the government toward Hindus in order to appease the minorities. The government takes advantage of tolerance, non-violence, broadmindedness and ignorance of Hindus to pass any laws that undermine the underlying unity of Hindus. Blinded by their party affiliation, Hindu politicians never even consider the future of their country. Their only obsession is to please the party bosses in order to satisfy their power and pockets. Many Hindu politicians would never even question as to why only Hindu Temples are taken over by the government but not the churches and mosques.  Why only Hindu Temple lands are used to start government programs such as Indiramma project to distribute the lands to the poor?               Three main points were discussed as to their implications for the survival of Hinduism and the fate of India.   1)        Hindu Rashtra.  India should declare itself to be a Hindu Rashtra giving special recognition and also accepting the preeminence of Hindu culture based on rich scriptures such as Vedas, Upanishad, Puranas, Darshans, Ramayana, Mahabharata and others. Principles such as "universal brotherhood,""all humanity is one family,""may all be happy and healthy,""may there be peace among living and nonliving entities," inclusive philosophy, and "live let live ideology" should form the rock solid foundation for Bharath.  Any religion that advocates exclusive philosophy, condemns others to hell for not accepting their religion, seeks special privileges based on religion and destroys the places of worship of other religions should be subjected to sever punishment.               All Hindus irrespective of their party affiliation and philosophical outlook should realize that there are 58 countries for Muslims to call them as their homelands; hundreds of countries in Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and other countries for Christians to call them as their countries; and Jewish people have Israel as their own country. It is only Hindus, with 1.2 billion populations across the globe, have no country to call it as their own country with their cultural background.  The sooner we declare India as Hindu Rashtra, the better it would be for Hindus and every other religious group. Liberals, media, communists, Muslims, Christians and many other nations would make loud noises, criticize vehemently, denounce us as fundamentalists, condemn us as anti-Muslim and anti-Christian, and deprecate us as being undemocratic. The same people would not criticize, condemn, deprecate or criticize Muslims who depleted Hindus In Pakistan and brutalized Hindus in Bangladesh. The same people would not say even one word against Saudi Arabia for not allowing even a picture of Hindu God. They would not even open their mouth when Mullahs issue Fatwa to kill people who criticize Islam.               Our failure to declare India, as Hindu Rashtra, would land us into the jaws of Islamic exclusive philosophy. It would become an Islamic Country in the next two-three decades as the Muslims increase their population with multiple wives and rampaging the country with terror, torture and killings. They will slowly deplete Hindu population from India the way have done in Pakistan and are doing in Bangladesh. Muslims have been advocating the break up of India into three Islamic Countries – Mughalisthan, Dalitisthan and Dravidisthan.                         One of the great poets, Bhushan, underscores the significance of the success of Shivaji over Mughals by saying, "You kept alive Hindutva and pride of Hindus. Smiritis, Puranas,Vedas and Dharma on earth remained alive oh! Great son of Shahi, Shivraj, in virtue of your might and intellect."   Jonah Blank, an American journalist, who traced the Lord Rama's footsteps from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka, writes: "India's land may be ruled by aliens from time to time, but never her mind, never her soul…In the end, it is always India that does the digesting."               Veer Savarakarsaid, "If you wish, O Hindus, to prosper as a great and glorious Hindu nation under the sun, and you well have a claim on it, that State must be established under the Hindu Flag. This dream would be realized during this or the coming generation. If it is not realized, I may be styled as a daydreamer, but if it comes true, I would stand forth as its prophet. I am bequeathing this legacy to you".               Subramanian Swamy, the author of "Hinduism under Siege", argues that every country must have an identity of it's own.  According to Dr. Swamy "Hindutva hence, is our innate nature, while Hindustan is our territorial body, but Hindu Rashtra is our republican soul. Hindu panth [religion] is however a theology of faith. Even if an Indian has a different faith from a Hindu, he or she can still be possessed of Hindutva. Since India was 100 percent Hindu a millennium ago, the only way any significant group could have a different faith in today's India is if they were converted from Hindu faith, or are of those whose ancestors were Hindus. "               Dr. Babu Suseelan strongly advocates the reasons for declaring India as Hindu Rashtra as follows:"Hindus call our way of life as Santhan Dharma. Hindu Dharma promotes freedom, democracy, pluralism, and respect nature and wholeness of all living and non- living entities. Our great Rishis have developed different thought systems and means to achieve equanimity, patience, health, forgiveness, control of mind, purity of thought and action, peace, progress, development of the intellect, knowledge and transcendental living."   2) Hindu politicians and businessmen are the real enemies.               Hindu MLAs and MPs, and Hindu businessmen are mortgaging the country for their money, fame and name.  If we look at how many thousands of acres of Hindu Temple lands are sold by the government without the approval of the original donors, we will all be surprised. It is Hindu politicians, Hindu businessmen and Hindu donors to the political party who have bought the temple lands, encroached the temple lands, and approved the transfer of lands to the government and they never ever discussed the transfer of either Church lands or Mosque properties. In fact, Churches are India is believed to be the largest landowner next only to the government. Minority appeasement and vote bank politics are creating havoc in the lives and terror in the hearts of majority of the Hindus.               It is sad to watch on TV stations and read in the newspapers as to how grateful the politicians are for their political wish being granted and how they are going to recognize Sonia Gandhi, who is a Christian, by constructing a Temple, although Christianity abhors image worship. Even, one of the TTD chairmen openly announced that he would be grateful all his life to Sonia Gandhi for selecting him for the post. This kind of slavish mentality is ruining the country and destroying the Hindu principles of freethinking, intelligence, freedom, independence and liberty. All these politicians are becoming bonded slaves to the party and mortgaging the motherland.   3)        There is no real dialogue or open discussion taking place in the media about the role of Muslims in fomenting hatred toward Hindus, about the appeasement policies, reservation of educational seats, rampant terrorist activities, abuse of Hindu Temples and Deities, loud speakers blasting at high decibels, widespread use of houses as Churches in residential colonies and villages, failure of Police Department to file FIRs, the rampant abuse of Atrocities Act, and astronomical abuse of Dowry Act and so on.               TV stations routinely ask the interviewers not to talk about other religions, their atrocities, their abuses, their outspoken hatred toward Hindus and their outright zeal to convert India into an Islamic country. No TV station will take the risk of Muslim rampage. Law and order in India is tilted toward the minority appeasement. In fact one TV executive even confessed that they have to apologize to Muslims by scrolling on the screen for one month for showing Muslims reading the Quran.               Next one decade is crucial for the survival of Hindus in India.  If the Hindus do not get united, shed their greed, challenge the laws that are undermining the very fabric of Hindutva,remove their shackles of political affiliations, question the appeasement policies, enforce uniform civil code, stop the deceptive conversion practices, control the population explosion, they will be ransacked, rampaged, terrorized and plundered. For Hindus, there would not be any place go, any place to hide, any place to run and any place to seek asylum. Let us be the true inheritors of the richest culture handed down by our ancient rishis for us to enjoy the freedom, democracy, pluralism, independence, and liberty. Hindus must wake up before they are wiped out and shoulder the responsibility of preserving their ancient Sanatana dharma.               The Hindus have always kept their religion and politics separate. They never imposed their religion upon other religious people. They never invaded any other country to convert people of other religions to their religion. Hindus always welcomed all other religions, hosted them, sheltered them and protected them. They never killed them, tortured them, looted them, raped them, plundered them, and converted them.  Let us remember the words of the former President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam: "In 3000 years of our history, people from all over the world have come and invaded us, captured our lands, conquered our minds. From Alexander onwards, The Greeks, the Turks, the Moguls, the Portuguese, the British, the French, the Dutch, all of them came and looted us, took over what was ours. Yet we have not done this to any other nation. We have not conquered anyone. We have not grabbed their land, their culture, their history and Tried to enforce our way of life on them. Why? Because we respect the freedom of others."
