When some one's hatred for some thing or some community is so blind that it has reached the level of fanaticism, then it is really meaningless or wastage of time to engage in any fruitful conversation with him. He hoped that he will identify those perpetrators and bring them to book. In this connection a complain has been filed at Serajdi Khan police station. The matter has been published in the national daily "Jugantor" dated 22nd of January,2012. BDMW and GHRD hurriedly communicated with the local administration over phone who informed us the situation is now under control. But till date no perpetrators has been identified by police. They will try anything to do so. In the recent attempt, they failed. They need to wait for the next BNP rule. That will facilitate the golden opportunity, which will be the end of Bangladesh, as we know; Sharia Law will become the law of the land, and Bangla will become the Afghanistan, as they dream. Mutual tolerance among religions is comparatively recent phenomenon and rare for that matter. Missionaries would have become extinct if tolerance had been the creed of religions. Till recent past, religions were out to annihilating each other; their message being, "Mine is the best, adopt it or face the sword/spear." Those who adopt Ramakrishna as their religious leader would be excommunicated if Hindus had the mindset of the Catholics. In reality, Ramakrishna was heretic. He claimed himself as the best of Avatars, insulting the whole philosophy of Hinduism. He was totally ignorant of it anyway.
Every religion teaches tolerance about other religions. Evidence lies in more or less peaceful coexistence of various religious groups. All followers don't get it because of sectarianism, religious chauvinism and bad politics as well. Latest teaching (by Ramakrisna) is: you can follow any route to reach your God.

This is the problem with people, like you. You do not understand any other religious practices. Everybody believes that he/she is right. No one knows who is right. I can tell you that - every one prays to Allah; none of these people has rejected Him. You think you own Him; you don't. He also likes those who want to touch Him through His mock images. They want to dress Him up, as they wish. They want to put makeup on Him, as they wish. They do all these because they love Him that much. Get this idea out of your head that Allah likes you more than them. You haven't done anything so special for Him that you deserve such a special treatment.
Most people believe in Allah in their own way. I don't have explanation for everything, I see around me. So, I believe in a creator in my own way. I do not have to follow your way for that matter. Why should I follow somebody else's way – when he/she does not know, for sure, what the right way is? If you have a concrete proof that your way is the right-way and my way is the wrong-way, come back to me; I will follow your way. Until then – get the thought out of your mind that others have rejected Him. You are just parroting someone else's thought. That's what you were told to believe. I was told to believe many things also. I follow only things that I judge myself to be right. I am an independent thinker; Allah did not make me a lamb to follow another lead lamb. That's how I think of myself.

When the Prophet of Islam asked his followers to believe in that unseen BEING, he demanded reposing BLIND FAITH in Allah. Even science will tell you to believe in things which cannot be seen, touched, moved, painted, dressed up etc. BUT are out there!! Reject them at your peril.

When you think that you are rational and those who profess faith in Islam are not, that you have ' liberated minds', others don't. Isn't it how one tries to claim that ' I am better than thou'? And Zubaidah was in the paradise while he was burning in hell. He sent for that beggar but never found him.Now that story may be concocted. That is not important here. The moot thing is your FAITH. Here Zubaidah had firm faith in the hereafter. So she thought whats the harm in paying a coin if it can get me in to paradise. Her husband probably was more 'rational' as you put it. He probably had an ' amenable liberated mind'. So Islam is all about faith. The very first condition to become a Muslim is to have unquestionable FAITH in that unseen being called ALLAH. The rest emanates from that faith. The faithless will obviously make fun of it, claiming themselves more learned, liberal minded, rational etc. etc. But the fact remains that all of us will die. I agree with Dr. Das, there is no point in trying to push rationality into people that are too much inside their cocoon of religion. But I believe a lot of people who identify themselves in terms of religions are actually not too religious; they are amenable to improve and come out into the world of liberated minds.I also think that people who found new incarnations of God in humans like Ramkrishna are as stupid as people who found messengers of God many centuries back. However, I am willing to tolerate the idiocies of religions as long as they do not translate into hatred and injustice. In that respect, the followers of Ramkrishna and Buddha are better than the followers of the abrahamic religions. When someone says, his religion is 'perfect for me', I would spare him from criticism and would also not take his judgement as final on any issue for any reason. Buddha used to say, "Judge everything, even if I said it." Seeing what the Buddhists have done to Buddha by making him a God, it is easy to see what followers of other religions have done to their preachers. For example, the Ramakrishna Mission has invented a new heaven called Ramakrishna Loke reserved for the deceased members of the mission. A few decades ago, they demanded to the Government of India that they be treated as a minority religion separate from Hinduism. The children of Abraham are not as audacious. They did not forget their root so soon.
