 Whatever you call it, I can find a way to characterize you as ridiculing them.

The point is while one may be able to find a way to ridicule people and their views, why would one?

Dear Audrey,
For the umpteenth time it is not scientists(Dawkins included)
who hold out rationalist philosophy (or any philosophy) as
"absolute truth". Scientists are open to revising their views
in light of logic and evidence. There is no absolute truth in
science. It is the religious apologists who regard their views
as absolute truth. Regarding "ridiculing" other views, again
"ridicule" is one's subjective characrerization. To call a
view wrong due to it's contradicting logic or evidence
is calling a spade a spade. It is not ridiculing in my book.
What would you call the views of those who still say the earth
is flat? Will you agree with me? Hope you get the
point.
