Bangladesh Independence Day.

Particulars are as follows:
Date: March 28-29, 2009, Saturday and Sunday.
Time: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. (Parade on March 29 from 2 PM to 5 PM) Parade Assembly on Vermont Ave at 3rd Street at 2:00 PM sharp.
Location: Shatto Recreation Center, 3191 West 4th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90020, USA.
Parking on Shatto Place near 4th Street. Enter Shatto Place from Wilshire.
Occasion: To commemorate the Independence Day of Bangladesh.
Parade Route: Parade assembly on Vermont Ave at 3rd Street, then going south on Vermont Ave, left on 6th Street, left on Shatto place, and end at 4th Street, where stage and booths will be located.

Program for Saturday, March 28, 2009
Opening Ceremony( 3PM TO 4PM) (Saturday)
Chief Guest of Opening Ceremony: LA-County Sheriff Le Baca
Program begins at 3 PM sharp on the stage (on the street).
3 pm – Dignitaries Arrives (Dr Hasem to receive with Consul General)
3:05 pm – Hoisting BD/USA /BUFLA Flag with BD/US anthem ( arrange by Dr. Shah Alam)
3:10 pm – Spiritual Convocation ( arrange by Mr. Anis)
3:15pm -Announcement of the Celebration of 38th Independence Day of Bangladesh with Parade & carnival for 2009, fly of pigeon , and flowers/Baloon, March and Salute Ceremony of the Special dress Participation of the event arrange by Major Kutubi.
3:20 pm – Welcome address by the Chairman of Advisory Council
3:25pm - Speech by the Chairman of BUFLA Board of Trustee
3:30 Pm- Speech by the Consul General of Bangladesh
3:35 pm- Speech of the Guest of Honor for the Opening Ceremony
3:40 pm – Thank you speech by the President of BUFLA
3:45 pm – A glorious dance by BUFLA cultural team
3:50 pm – Chorus song by BUFLA cultural team
3:55 pm – BUFLA Song by All the BUFLA members

Seminar( Guest of Honor ) 4:00pm to 6:00pm (Saturday)

20 mins- Discussion on the topics by the special guest ( Dr. Biplob Pal, Dr. Sirajullah, Dr. Wali Mondol, Rokeya Haider, Quddus Khan)

2:50pm -2:55pm-Annoncement of Bangladesh Day Parade 2008& Fly Banner , Cut Tapes and Open Parade .( Rifat+1 baby come with the Items)
3:00 pm – March Starts with the command of Lt Col(rtd) Huda of BAVOA contingent.
