Cabinet endorses Asian Highway link Dhaka, June 15 (bdnews24.com)—The cabinet on Monday formally decided to link Bangladesh to the Asian Highway network. The prime minister's press secretary Abul Kalam Azad told the media at a press briefing after the meeting that the cabinet decided that Bangladesh will be a party to the Asian Highway network. "Work on Asian Highway had begun in 1959. Bangladesh has been a member of the network since," he said. The prime minister chaired the cabinet meeting in her office.
