I've written about Jamaat's politics and the arch-villain Moududi on many occasions on this forum. I've even posted the link for Justice Munir-Kayani Rreport, 1956 -- that learned judicial opinion that indicted the criminal Moududi for inciting murderous riots and hate-crimes and condemned him to be punished by a death sentence. You and all the others of your ilk are welcome to re-read them at your leisure by accessing the ALOCHONA archives.
But .... here is another take .... supposing I know nothing. I am an ignorant peasant woman who tilled the soil all her life. Or, supposing I am a retired professor who lost all her 'haq-rizzique's meagre savings in an Islami Bank scam where the Bank's Chief Officers swindled the ordinary customers -- 16 thousands of them --- and ran away with the loot!
Would that give you the basis for claiming that you are a better Muslim than me?
I will help you with the answer if cannot manage to cobble one.

I have to reply when jamat's name is uttered negatively. What knowledge you have about jamath? Did you studied its Dawat and Karmachuci? I believe no. If you say yes then I would like to hear your criticism point by point on its 3 point Dawat and 4 point karmachuci. I believe you will be so braved to reply.

You attempted to compare failed christianism in Europe with Islam, kindly be waken, Islam is a complete deen, which the christanism was not , that was the reason why it was failed. If your Aqida is that "Islam is a complete deen" then we can argue with you, if your Aqida is deviated, then we cannot.

You and the Jamaatis have no basis for claiming that you are better than any of us as Muslims or followers of the faith of Islam.
If you insist that you are a better Muslim than me then that geture of hubris, according to the 'mithla' in the Holy Qur'an, makes you a follower of Iblis who said of Adam -- 'ana khairun minhu' or 'I am better than him' when he openly disobeyed Allah's explicit order to do 'sajada' to Adam.
Muslim Bengal has a glorious history! It was the shining gem, the most 'beautiful' and lushly cultivated land in the whole of Dar-ul-Islam, according to the Moroccan world-traveller, Ibn Batuta who visited Bengal in 1345 AD.
Religion was part of political power-jostling in Christian Europe. By the Renaissance time and splitting of the Church, religion became the top politics for entire Europe. For a modern model of State Religion you have to look at Nazi Germany and Austria in the 1938-39. You will never find the like of it in Muslim India which was wonderfully secular. Study the administrative policies of the Moghuls and you will find out why there had never been a communal riot and how and why the Hindus, Muslims, Christians and all others lived side by side without cutting each other's throat.
It is most fitting that Bangladesh be a secular country by its Constitution. No ifs or buts.

In the thousand year of Muslim rule in India Shariah ( Islamic law ) was the basis of state and law and Qazis or judges used to judge according to this law.This is much more than state religion which is a softer way of a state showing allegiance to Islam .
Secularism ( I call it in Bangla " Dharma Barjan Bad ") she does not understand at all and it was never integral to our life or system.

We, Bengalis never had a State Religion in all the 800 years of Muslim rule of Bengal.
Hannan's trumpeting of the "religion of the majority" is based on the British colonialists' computing of people of Bengal (in 1872 census) by their professed faith. It was a bogus census with evil imperialist intention of controlling people and looting the wealth of Bengal as a colony.
It is time to DISCARD this colonial basis of classifying general citizenry by their religion.
Please folks! We have suffered enough! It is time we all wake up to the dangers of these 20th century FASCISTS engulfing the hopes and dreams of our 21st century.
