This is a vicious propaganda against a section of the population of Bangladesh and aimed at denying them their citizens' rights.
This aeticle is written with very clever lies constructed carefully to seem truth-like at first. But upon a second look you will find deception and dirty politics.
For instance, the military dictator Ziaur Rahman, under the cloak of an illegally imposed Martial Law, sent 'bangalee' settlers behind repressive army battalions to CHT. Together they unleashed terror in the region, subjected local inhabitants to unspeakable torture and grabbed land from them to accomodate 'bangalees'. Subsequent military regime carried out the progrom unabated for years.
So, when the lie-monger of Shonarbangladesh says that half the population of CHT is 'bangalee' he is giving us a manufactured fact, manufactured with blood and gore.
Furthermore, he is pandering to the 'bangalee' sentiment --"How can you call yourself a freedom fighter for Bangladesh if you do not support the rights of 'bangalee' over the lives and livelihood of some 'junglee' adibashis who are Indian spies anyway?"
Very nice trap! How many of you want to step into it?
