Home Minister Sahara Khatun disclosed an updated list of 42 top terrorists, prepared by the elite force Raid Action Batalion (RAB), Home Ministry sources said the New Nation yesterday. The sources said, Sahara Khatun disclosed an updated list of 42 top terrorists without the names of Shahadat and Dacoit Shahid, Jeshin, Ashik, Nabi, Mosharraf, Chanchal and Shahin. In this top terror list there were names of some 'local thieves,' sources added.

Sources said Shahadat, Dacoit Shahid and Joy reportedly hiding in India but are regularly collecting money from the businessmen through young terrorists. One of the foreign intelligence agencies allegedly helped them flee the country, source added.

Interpol issued red alert against 92 top terrorists in the country. Of them 20 top terrorists were controlling the underworld from home and abroad, but were reportedly absent in the updated list

Home Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikder told newsmen yesterday that updated list of 42 top terrorists was prepared two months ago. Many of the law enforcement agencies contributed to the top terrorists' list Home Minister disclosed "only one law enforcement agencies' report" before the parliament

Towhiduzzaman Khan and Liakat were in the list of 42 top terrorists, but they were killed nine years and one year ago respectively, sources added.

Lutfozzaman Babar, former state minister for the home affairs, prepared a list of 23 top terrorists to bring them to justice. Then AL claimed that the most wanted criminals were activists of the Jubo League and Chhatra League. Rapid Action Batalion (RAB) killed two of them in crossfire. all of them fled the country after Picshi Hannan was killed.

Most wanted criminals of the web pages of the police were Aminul Rosul Sagar Tokai Sagar, Trimoti Subrata Baine, Molla Masud, Prakash Kumar Biswas, Kala Jahangir, Khandakar Tanvir Islam Joy, Shamim Ahmed Aga Shamim, Haris Ahmed Haris, Jabbar Munna, Imam Hossain and Shahid Kamrul Hasan allies Hannan, Jafar Ahmed Manik, Nabi and Hossain, Rafiqul Islam Kajol. The law enforcement agencies could not arrest them.

Home Minister Sahara Khatun in the parliament yesterday disclosed an updated list of 42 top criminals. The list, however, did not say anything about the whereabouts of 27 of them.

It said three top criminals are staying in India and one each in Canada and US while ten were arrested from 2000 to 2005 from India, Nepal and Bangladesh.

In response to lawmakers' queries, Sahara also placed another list of 73 fugitive criminals against whom red alerts were issued. Nine convicted killers of Bangabandhu, nine accused in August 21 grenade atack case and some of the listed top terrors are among others in the list of 73 fugitive criminals. The rest of the fugitives are accused in killing cases.

The Home Ministry's list did not say anything about the whereabouts of listed top criminals Kala Jahangir, Kazi Ataur Rahman Litu, Sadikur Rahman alias Hiru, Islam alias Bihari Munna, Nur Mohammad, T Babu, Ashik alias Ashik Islam, Shahidullah alias Lebu Shahid, Suman, Towhiduzzaman Khan, Arif Hossain, Mia Delwar Hossain, Abul Kashed alias Hadi, Jasim alias Jasi, Dulal alias Motka Dulal, Golam Mostafa alias Pappu, Selim alias Saila, Munna alias Monu Mia, Mamun alias Mafizur Rahman, Rabi, Toku alias Toku Khan, Mamun, Kamrul Hasan alias Hannan, Shamim Ahmed alias Aga Shamim, Liakat, Zafar Ahmed alias Manik and Jabbar Munna.

The arrested ten top criminals are Titon, Sohel alias freedom Sohel, Harris Ahmed alias Hares, Khorshed Alam alias Rashu, Abbas alias killer Abbas, Kamal Pasha alias Pasha, Arman, Mashiur Rahman Kochi, Subrata Baine and Imamul Hossain alias Pichchi Helal.

According to the list, top criminals Tanvir Islam, Prokash Kumar Biswas and Molla Masud are hiding in India, Aminur Rasul Sagor alias Tokai Sagor in USA and Imam Hossain in Canada.
