Mr. Golam
Inhuman barbaric killings by BSF Hayena's of India has no competitor in the modern World,
Can one imagine how China and Pakistan(two other neighbours of India) could have reacted if such killing done against the civilians of those two neighbours of India. Why Bangladesh is helpless now to protect its border citizens from almost daily killing of civilians by the Indian Hayena BSF ?
Why even we can't protest such incidents in strong voice ?
Why we are not protesting such barbaric killings in World forums like United Nations ?
Bangladeshi human rights organizations should be more vocal against such barbarism.
Communal BSF has no regret while they kill Bangladeshis(most of them are muslim).
Why our Home Minister and Foreign Minister is silent ?
Home Ministry protested to India After almost ten days . Why it took ten days to file protest ?
Who has the answer?
If the Felani was the daughter of Hasina or Shahara or Dipu Moni, how could they have reacted ?
Can't we treat Falani as our own daughter ?
Sincerely,
Mohiuddin Anwar

Subject: Re: [KHABOR] Re: Recent dialogue between Hilory and HasinaDear Mr. Faruque Alamgir and Friends,Thank you for your reply, India- Bangladesh border is an unfortunate death graveyard almost like the USA Mexico border. possibly the objective news and analysis is given below by Dan Moshenberg, dmoshenberg@gmail.comThere is a similarity of the problem, illegal immigrants come to USA and to India , mostly one way traffic for economic reason, all UN member countries USA , India, Mexico, and Bangladesh all agreed to secure their borders for the safety , security, and not to trespass the border without due permissions, passport, visa and necessary papers etc. , violators are supposed to be arrested and due legal process is supposed to be followed, Bangladesh and India should both be responsible for incidents like that such is also good for USA and Mexico. It is very unfortunate incident: let us urge both the countries to take proper actions to avoid such incidents like Canadian and USA border does not or rarely have incidents like that.Mr. F. Alamgir. I want to reiterate the Article 1 ofUniversal Declaration of Human Rghts ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Declaration_of_Human_Rights )"Article 1 All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood." It looks like whoever tries to reason something specially about America, India or reasonable behavior of Islam followers , you become agitated, emotional, and over acting and over defensive losing your "reason and conscience" it means you become nearer to animal than to Human Being, please do not behave like that it shows your unbalanced mental condition or you might be graduating or promoting yourself from one group to next group in the cadre of-1) regular moderate Muslim, 2)Fundamentalist Muslim, 3) Fanatic Muslim, 4)Terrorist Muslim ( all in their own respective belief of heaven to best of the best heaven in their after world). Please minutely be factual, careful, and cautious to cross the borderline there one also like Bangladesh- India borders??!! Being victims of border graveyard knowingly or unknowingly, innocently or uninnocently.Regards.Yours sincerely,Golam F. Haunts: The State expresses its grief, and Felani is dead
Jan 15th, 2011 by admin.Children, girls and boys, are being killed by Indian soldiers on the India-Bangladeshi border. Each time it happens, the State claims grief and promises never again. The most recent girl to suffer this indignity, last week, was a fifteen-year-old girl named Felani:
"Indian border forces have handed over to Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) the body of 'Felani', 15, who was shot dead on Friday as she had gotten entangled in barbed-wire while crossing the border.… In the meeting, BDR condemned the brutal killing of the teenaged girl. BSF had expressed its grief over the incident and assured that such incident will not take place in future."
What is to done with the grief of States expressed each time border troops kill or maim someone? What is the worth of their repeated assurances? Where is the future in which border guards will not shoot at children caught on barbed wire? And what is the name of the space that separates the dead body of 15 year old Felani, about whom the State is silent, and `the incident' over which the State expresses its grief?
Apparently Felani and her father left their home in Bangladesh ten years ago and crossed into India. They were on their way home because a marriage to a local boy had been settled. Felani's father successfully scaled the border fence. Felani got tangled up in the barbed wire and started to scream. The Indian Border Security Forces heard the screams, saw the girl, came, shot her and waited for her to die. Some say she bled and screamed for four hours, others say for less time. Whatever the duration, Felani, a fifteen- year-old girl, hanging upside down from the border fence, riddled with bullets, bleeding and screaming, died. The BSF then waited and finally cut her down and carried her away, hands and feet bound to a pole, like so much animal carcass. A day or so later, they arranged the meeting where they returned the body and expressed grief … over the incident.
Bangladeshis, and Indians, have expressed outrage at the incident and shock and disgust at the photographs. But who expresses grief at the border fence?
According to a Human Rights Watch report issued just last month, the Border Security Forces at that particular border are `trigger happy'. Children, such as 12-year-old Rumi Akhter Nipa, are routinely, randomly and indiscriminately shot. What do girls, like Rumi, want? According to Dr. Abdus Samad who treated her, she simply wants a daily life, to start school. What do children, like Rumi Akhter Nipa, get? "A pattern of grave abuses". And, as Felani's story suggests, they are to be considered the lucky ones.
The borderland is a graveyard. As long as the State, any State, is ruled by security first, as long as the borders are considered primary and the crossers, with or without documents, are secondary, the borderland will remain a graveyard. That is the reason that "despite numerous complaints no member of the BSF has been arrested, much less held to account in civilian courts." Hundreds of Bangladeshis and of Indians have been killed and not a single member of the BSF has been arrested. Felani is not alone.
Grief emerges from graves, not from incidents. Apologies cover incidents, shrouds cover the bodies of the dead. The State of India expresses its grief? And Felani is dead.

Mr. Golam Farid Akhter,
Human Rights Actist
If the conversation between Hillary and Hasina is true, how we should react ?
Until now Hasina government did not protest about this leak. We have to wait for their response and than people and human rights group can react.
This days nothing is secret and information technolgy can report most confidential communications between the governments that might compromise national interest.
Thank you,

Transcript of Hillary Clintons tele-conversation with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina:
Prime Minister Hasina (PM): Good Morning, Madame Secretary. I am very pleased to hear your voice.
Secretary Clinton: Good afternoon Madame Prime Minister. I hope I reached you at a good time.
PM: Yes, yes, you reached me at a good time. For you, any time is good time for me. Please feel free to call me anytime.
Secretary: Madame Prime Minister I have been updated by Ambassador-at-Large Stephen Rapp about his visit to Dhaka. Honestly, at the request of New Delhi, we sent him there and tried our best to help you better organize the trial. After listening from Amb. Rapp and our Ambassador Moriarty, I felt obligated to inform you that both I and President Obama take the issue of human rights in its proper spirit. It is on this context, I called you to inform you that United States does not support the trial in its form and content. Bangladesh has to reform the whole process in a way so that it doesn't become a conduit of punishing opposition.
PM: Madame Secretary, I understand your concern and I already asked my Law Minister to take note of what Amb. Rapp suggested. This is a trial we undertook with active support and assistance of New Delhi. I am sure Indian Ambassador in Washington DC will brief you further on that.
Secretary: Prime Minister, United States stands for a certain values and policies which may or may not be the likes of New Delhi. Of course, we have been attentive to New Delhi's most of the suggestions but this one I thought I should forewarn you.
PM: Madame Secretary we noted your concerns and can tell you this much that this was in our manifesto and our people would like to see the trial should go on.
Secretary: Absolutely, but that has to done in an way so that it is accepted internationally. I am sure, even people who voted for your party, may not accept the trial in its form and format which is, to our view, flawed and politically motivated. President Obama working hard to bring peace to your part of the world, Madame Prime Minister. Therefore, United States would not allow any action that may only help some legitimate political forces going underground to create more problem for you and thereby, for us as well.
PM: I understand. I understand. Don't worry we will fix it. Don't take it that seriously. We are doing it as we have to do and there are some culprits who we need to straighten up.
Secretary: Ambassador Rapp also informed me about your government's influence on the Judiciary and I was told how Judiciary is giving verdict they way you want. This is not good at the end. You have to be watchful.
PM: Thank you, thank you. I always value suggestion from yourself and President Clinton.
Secretary: Madame Prime Minister, let me come to the core point for which I called you. As you have seen even Washington Post picked up your treatment to Dr.Yunus and Grameen Bank. I thought it is about time to tell you how upset we are in Washington DC. I am personally upset because Dr.Yunus has been a family friend to the Clintons long before his wining of Nobel Prize. President Clinton is equally upset. Hope you are aware how hard he worked to see Dr.Yunus gets this award. I know people may have personal issues, but when it comes to national icon like Dr.Yunus, I thought Bangladesh shouldn't demonize country's only Nobel Laureate.
PM: Madame Secretary, please listen, please listen----
Secretary: Madame Prime Minister, please let me finish first. I hope you are aware that President Obama is a big fan of micro-credit. He is a fan of microfinance since his mother had her thesis on this subject. So, I am making this call to let you know how upset both of us-President Obama and I-at your continued effort to demonize Dr.Yunus.
PM: Madame Secretary, I hope you are aware that it is not us who brought this issue. Norway is the first to complain about Dr.Yunus's misplaced fund. After all, this is our domestic issue and Madame Secretary we will do it as per our own rules and regulations.
Secretary: Madame Prime Minister, I thought I would not have to go that far. But, unfortunately, I was wrong. I hope you know as much we know, how your government came to power. Don't forget that we helped you congratulating you after the election terming it as a free and fair. You know Prime Minister, how this election result was pre-arranged at the behest of our good friends in New Delhi. We acted the way they suggested us. And please don't forget that Gen. Moyeen, who brought you to power, now in the USA and perhaps, we now know, more than you could possibly imagine. Prime Minister, I am not saying that we will disown you so soon. I am just trying to place issues in the order of history demands it.
PM: Madame Secretary we are aware of your support and assistance. We will do all we can to keep you happy. Don't worry. We noted your point. Now let me know when you are coming to visit my country.
Secretary: Thanks for the invitations, Madame Prime Minister. I thank you for your time.
PM: Madame Secretary, Please bring President Clinton and your daughter and son in law.
