[ALOCHONA] In soliderity with the people on street in Cairo, Tunis

Moment by moment I was glued to the 'Al-jazeera Live from Tahrir Square' (liberation Square – we do not have one- our democratic governments closed  all the open squares where people could assemble – Paltan, Manik mia avenue).

When Turkey went for referendum few months ago I was awaiting moment by moment for its positive results. I feel proud of their prolific Foreign Minister.

Tunisian events when unfolding,  couldn't stop watching and following the event.  Many like me who did the same with the hope that these events turn the future of those nations and their timing millions to prosperity. But it all depends on big powers big game.

All the tyrant's bastion of hope is those powerful nations who always talk about democracy, justice and humanity. If it was not their policies, all the dictators wouldn't  have survived so long. While this dictators are in power their media and their society often come strongly for democracy, justice and what not. But reality is, and last few weeks it has become clear like day light that they want this dictators to continue by any means. We can see how much, not only their governments but their public who always chastise the Arab nations for their inactions or continuing under tyrants, now have no words in their support when they really came out to protest and demand for democracy and justice. We witnessed not a single mobilization in Paris, New York , London or Berlin in support of the protesters. Berlusconi, Obama, Cameroon or Sercozy came out with their eloquence that only provided Mubarak to hang on further.

Strange enough those bloggers who used to write against Aarab's subjugation has no words now. These dissented  Arabs in their peaceful yet very determined protest find no sympathy from the so called citadel of democracy and human rights cultivated people.

Mubarak's wealth is in Swiss and British banks. OFAC(Office of Foreign Asset Control) list only filters money of hostile people or organizations but not big money launderers like Mubarak. His 70 billions and many other's billions find safe heaven in their fortified bank accounts.  Swiss bank has frozen Mubarak's account perhaps to goble the billions, certainly not to return to the people whose money it is. This Swiss people voted against Muslim Minerates, can they now come out to vote to send back all the Muslim dictators money in their banks? That is a day dream for any poor Muslim from this part of the world whose wealth is stolen and stashed in these banks.

People on the street for weeks not only peacefully protested to bring dignity and honor to them, but they have shown  wonderful unity and fraternity, they  have prayed five time while on the street, wore hijab, challenged the so called secularists, communist, fanatic or redical jihadists. An amazing strength to fight, never before in the history of people's uprising. They gave lives but still were non violent. A revolution without a counter bullet and they did not have to succumb to the unfair demands for American, Russian or Chinese arms. Indeed a way unknown before.

West will make every effort to sabotage it so that their interests can be maintained. But the oppressed and now dissented youth in Arab street learned that for their democracy they have to look for and rely only on their won strength west will not be of any help rather contrary to it they may sabotage their struggle to reinstead with another puppet of west. Ominous signs are there.

Being a fellow human  I am proud of my friend whom, when I called hour after Mubarak's resignation told me he is on the street of Cairo and very happy. I only wish they get justice and no one interfere in their affairs, which is very unlikely.

Haque
