Speakers at a human chain on Monday said that Indian PrimeMinister Manmohan Singh has to take responsibility to stop killing of Bangladeshis along the border.

They called upon the Bangladesh government to raise the issue of killing at border to Indian Prime Minister during his visit to Bangladesh next month. 

Voice of Bangladesh, a social organisation, formed the humanchain in front of the National Press Club protesting killing across border byIndian forces and demanding an end to extrajudicial killing in the country. Secretary general of Bangladesh Jatiya Party Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah, vice president of the organisation Shahin Ahmed Khan, vice president of SwadinataForum Ilias Ali, journalist Oliullah Noman, Moniruzzaman Monir, Manzur Hossain Isa, ABM Abul Kalam Ripon, Mofidul Islam Mohon, Atiqur Rahman, Asad Uddin Sayem, Joynul Islam, among others addressed the programme with president of the organisation EH Jasim in the chair. 

Abu Naser Rahmatullah alleged that killing at Bangladesh border has been increased ahead of the visit of Manmohan and after the visit of Indian home minister and Congress president Sonia.

He said it is unexpected that Bangladesh government is silent when its  nationals are being killed at border after the assurance of Indian home minister that killing atthe border will be stopped.

The speakers called upon the government to take initiativeto stop killing at border area.
