The European colonialists were plunderers and freebooters, Churchill being one of their leaders towards the end of colonialism. In 1940 he said, ".. if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years ..". It means, he hoped that the British empire would last for a thousand years from 1940!! He was totally opposed to independence of India, as he thought it would herald the end of British Empire. But, colonialism came to an end at the end of WWII in 1945.
However, neo-colonialism developed since the end of WWII. The neo-colonialists are also plunderers and freebooters, who dominate and plunder other countries through their lackeys in the neo-colonies. The world has seen their genocides in Afghanistan and Iraq, perpetrated by Bush-Blair and their cohorts and supporters.
Neo-colonialism is now downhill, especially from their economic crisis of 2008-09, following their disastrous defeat in Afghan and Iraq wars. The people in the neo-colonised countries have continued to wake up. We are now seeing the dawn of an Asian age. The people will no doubt keep on fighting for Human Rights, Democratic Rights, Equality and Justice.
History will put Churchill in his right place as a leader of the colonialists, who are plunderers and freebooters. Their lackeys in the neo-colonies mostly invariably show the same characters as plunderers and freebooters.
