News clips published in different dailies (with date & URL) related to the corruptions of Khaleda Zia
I am forwarding the content of an email, to HE Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed, the Chief Adviser (CA) of interim government (CG), which I received on 18.05.2007 for his information and necessary action please. Really he has raised some good points:
"Dear readers,
I have collected and compiled (with much difficulty and spent enormous personal time, as a conscious citizen of Bangladesh) following news clips published in different standard dailies of Dhaka (with date & URL, mainly from last week of October 2006 to date) related to the corruptions of Mrs. Khaleda Zia, Ex Prime Minister (of ever biggest ministry) of Bangladesh.
She was also in charge of some important ministries, where most of the corruption occurred and her governing & administrating performance was also worst.
The following news clips also contain some hard but true comments about Khaleda Zia made by her long-term party colleagues, ministers, MPs, leaders about her corruption, inefficiency, lack of far sight ness, nepotism (PORIBARTONTRO) and misrule. She patronised, sheltered, supported & harboured multi disciplinary corruption.
But, with greatest surprise and deep shock, we are observing that present interim government (CG) is allowing her (with some family members including couple of house servant/keeper) initially to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and now to Singapore (at first, then may to some other country, in the name of 'treatment').
Already present interim government (CG) have allowed her corrupt brother to leave Bangladesh on the way to London.
Many thanks to present interim government (CG) that they have not "yet" allowed, another culprit son of Khaleda, Koko, to get out of the country, for which she is not leaving any stone unturned!
But, We do not understand why present interim government (CG) is so weak to Khaleda?
Why they are so merciful, generous and compassionate to (mother of corrupt) Khaleda?
What are the problems?
With much support, delight and satisfaction of the common people, present interim government (CG) have arrested some suspected political, student, businessman, bureaucrats, owner of news paper (mainly on the basis of "assumption" & "best guess", without any "hard" and vital "proof" and no formal "solid", "well-built", "tough" case have yet lodged, in about last 90 days, only few extortion (CHADABAZI) cases are lodged.
At that time why present interim government (CG) is not lodging proper and genuine case of corruption against Khaleda Zia when there are hundreds of reference and information (as mentioned below) about her corruption, support to corruption and harbouring of corruption are available and published in different media?
As far example,
Her Ex-Private Secretary (PS) openly disclosed & informed about Khaleda's blind eye to numerous acts of corruption by her son and relatives. Off course, ex PS is also responsible and should have accountability. If he uttered any wrong & untrue statements, information then he should also put under trial for abusing and undermining, not only Khaleda Zia but also the highest post of the republic, Prime Minister (PM).
Late Mr. Sayed Monzur Hussain, (very recently died, 3 or 4 time MP from BNP and ex minister), who was Chief of Parliament Sub committee for Communication Ministry (01-06) established & revealed some corruptions of BNP Minister on February 2004 and then Khaleda, as PM and BNP Chairman, stopped him not to disclose that corruption report, proved & revealed in Parliament Sub committee. She moreover ordered him to keep silent. In addition she threatened him that if he does any thing otherwise, then he would face serious personal problem.
This above news of Khaleda's support & patronising of corruption was published in daily newspaper, when Khaleda Zia was ruling Prime Minister & she or her office (PM office has a separate press wing with a full-fledged Press Secretary and few Assistant Press Secretary) was not able to make any kind of protest, complain or any legal action to that news or against that Chairman of Parliament Sub committee!
We, the citizens of Bangladesh, want to know answer of the above cited enquiries, from the Chief Adviser (CA) of present interim government (CG), Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed.
Otherwise creditability, sincerity of present interim government (CG) will be under question and doubt. Their 'good' activities will be mistrustful and history will not excuse them.
My request to all conscious citizen, please raise our voice against all (all means all, no subdivision and grouping) corrupt leaders, persons and patronises.
And this should start from the TOP, from number ONE and now itself.
