[ALOCHONA] Re: FW: UN Challenges Slavery Conditions for Domestic Workers

There is a subcategory of the closet blind AL supporter - the seething closet blind AL supporter. She seethes because she cannot be open about her devotion to Joy as he stares down at her from the poster on her wall. Hence this outburst.

People like me welcome this developemnt. We have seen the suffering first hand and helped people first hand. We hold every Deshi government accountable for the treatment of our citizens abroad.

Farida cannot hold an AL government accountable for the treatment of our citizens in the Middle East.

This development originated in the US, UN and ILO - the article mentions nothing about her AL government or India. There is no need to speak of an AL conspiracy - AL is irrelevant in the article.

Farida calls the Middle East jahalia and then stays silent as her government seeks to send tens of thousands of our women to this same jahalia.

Our manpower brokers are some of the most conniving and crooked shysters in Bangladesh. But as they help to earn dollars Farida will never stand against them under an AL governmnet.

Similarly, these manpower brokers have corrupt relations with many mps - often making large contributions to reelection campaigns. Farida would never upset a manpower broker if he was important to an AL mp.

For people like Farida it is irrelevant that there has been virtually no trial or arrest of any wicked manpower broker in the history of Bangladesh.

For people like Farida it is irrelevant that manpower brokers have a network of power within government especially an AL government.

But she is, apparently, very concerned about our labourers in the Middle East.

They wouild smell some kind of AL conspiracy financed by Indian money and 'Nethri' inspired nasty plot to to spoil the efforts of our goodhearted Adom-byabsayees trying to export BD female workers to Arab Muslim lands.

With a lot of luck, we may finally take decisive action to guarantee decent treatment for the world's highly exploited housekeepers, maids, nannies, and other domestic workers. There are an estimated 100 million of them, working in more than 180 countries. Their pay is generally at the poverty level... Almost half of them are not entitled to even one day off per week."
