Re: [mukto-mona] Heart breaking news from KSA.

I agree. That is what I have been doing when I discussed religion in this forum. I have supplied more sources than most posts here.

I am a HUGE fan of free speech but there is a difference between free speech, hate speech and "Ignorant" speech. When we use solid knowledge, logic, references etc to make our points, all of us can learn new things and make it interesting to most members.

There is another part all of us can improve on. Which is to be more rational, practical and logical. For example our cry for Saudi murder execution is almost gone. We always fall for cheap talks!!

We have hundreds of thousands of Bangladeshi people working in KSA. Legally we cannot ask foreign nations to forgive murderers BUT we can put pressure to ALL foreign governments to ensure our citizens are dealt fairly and they were given a fair trial against any allegation.

The economic reality is some of us have to work in foreign countries to make our country and our families "Run". We also have to follow laws of the lands wherever we go to make a living. So our so called 'Civil society" ( The biggest beneficiary of foreign remittance) just parroted concerns of some European nations. Since Europe does not support death penalty, like sheeps  we simply repeated whatever crap was fed my our "Masters". The bottom line is most of the advanced countries ( USA, India, China, Brazil, Qatar etc) have some sort of death penalty for murdering people. We also have death penalty in our penal codes!!

How can we simply ask a foreign nation to forgive people who admitted to taking part in killing another human being? It is emotional, immoral and impractical. So the only place where we had a chance to save these Bangladeshi people was to investigate "Due process" of Saudi Judicial system. Which we have NOT done. Since our missions are busy trading our people not serving them!!

More importantly we have serious issues in law and order situation of BD. It is time that our government agencies work for to protect innocent people more effectively. Unfortunately in our country law abiding citizens fear for their lives and criminal are busy having a charming life.

Maybe we can make our voices heard against such situation.

When we make a very strong or extreme comment on any controversial issue, we really need to be very careful. Every thing needs to be backed by solid references and rational and factual analysis. Otherwise the debate becomes meaningless and it will take us nowhere.

Nope. It is you who is going around spreading fiction. I don't mind that, you do not like Islam or religions in general. That does not mean you have to take "Less than civilized route" to vent your ignorance about Islam. Fatima's (RA) death was foretold by the last prophet (PBUH). Only "Some" shia Muslims think there were violence involved. NONE of the narratives says anything about she was burned to death.

I have serious doubt about the shia narrative because Ali Bin Ali Talib (RA) was still alive and he could face ten people by himself. So the "Attack" part is unlikely. There was a dispute over interpretation of a hadith and some Fatima (RA) died pretty soon after prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away.

I would encourage you to research a bit more BEFORE you want to "Poke" religion. So far most of what you said are based on "Fiction".

I tend to stick with "Non-fiction" in this forum.

Peace. :-)

Ask any mufti, read any book on the history of primitive Islam, or you may read 'The Shade of the Sword' by M. J. Akbar.  Read more and be less of a believer.  King Solomon the wise prayed to God for wisdom and he died an apostate.  r, Oh quasi-theocrat, read books on religion, and otherwise holy books.  You would need nothing more to loose your faith.

The Saudi ambassador should know that as Hazrat Ali and Fatima refused  allegiance to Abu Bakr, the first Caliph of Islam, Ali was forcibly removed from his house and his house was burned down.  As a result, Fatima, daugter of the prophet of Islam, was burned.  She died a day later.  Such a cruel event might have been sanctioned by Allah.
