Dear Sir/Madam,

Bangladesh Minority Watch (BDMW) received information that a Shiva Murthi in a Cremation Ground belonging to  Hindus in Shikdarbari of Motbaria Upazila of Perojpur District demolished on 3rd of February,12 last at night.

The perpetrators also set fire on those Hindu deities causing serious damage to the Gods and other materials available within the cremation ground.

Hindus were erecting this Shiva Murthi nine feet height since long.

Bangladesh Minority Watch is concerned about the incident of such desecration of Hindu Goddess in Bangladesh and we wish the perpetrators should be arrested and brought to book as per law of the land.

The news has been published in the daily "Kaler Kantha dated 4th February,2012.
