The situation is only dire for the "fake Islamists"  not for anyone else.Their long imposition of fake and insecere ritualistic political behavior and norms on everyone while indulging in criminal, murderous and corrupt power grab just like any other politician is being steadily exposed. The analogy of "marines urinating on Afghans' is completely offbase and irrelevant to Bangladesh and is designed to provoke and create a false hysteria so that the war criminals who are finally in the dock can get out scott free.
