[ALOCHONA] Mt Everest

Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Nepal to the UN  H. E. Gayan Chandra Achariya called Dr. Abdul Momen, Bangladesh Ambassador and PR to the UN and congratulated him for reaching the peak of the Mt Everest by Ms. Nishat Majumdar of Bangladesh for the first time in history.  He stated that last year when he heard that a Bangladeshi won the great honor of reaching the top of the Everest, he was pleased but this year, the news is simply exciting.  A female has done it.  It proves once again that Bangladesh is doing great in 'women empowerement', he added. He extended his hearty congratulation to Nishat Majumder of Bangladesh.
