I haerd the program was good. Thanks for such a program. I would have attended the program if I would be present at Boston.
But be mindful that many of us do make politics on Tagore's name but do we all know what was Tagore's politics for us, the Bangladeshis (the then East Bengal's poor people)? We should all keep that thing in it's perspective, otherwise it will be a dis-service to to Tagore as well as all of us who has started to know Tagore recently.

I would be grateful to see that you cultural people (in New Englad) do arrange such a program for our natinal poet Kazi Nazrul Islam who carries our legacy better than any other poet of that time. If a nation does not love and adore their heroes of their, that nation is not a nation at all. A nation have two boundaries; one cultural and one political. If cultural boudaries are not kept protected then the p[olitical boundaries is prudent to fail. may Allah save us from this.
Let me cite a letter of Tagore in this regard.
ইংরেজের দমন-পীড়ন রবীন্দ্রনাথকে ব্যথিত করেনি। তিনি তাদের এই অশোভন আচরণকে বরং প্রশ্রয় দিয়েছেন। রবীন্দ্র জীবনের সমগ্র কর্মকান্ড অনুসন্ধানে এমন তথ্যই উন্মোচিত হয়। শরৎচন্দ্রের উপন্যাস 'পথের দাবি' ইংরেজ শাসক বাজেয়াপ্ত করেছিল। তখন রবীন্দ্রনাথের সহযোগিতা প্রত্যাশা করে শরৎচন্দ্র একখানা পত্র লিখেছিলেন। পত্র জবাবে রবীন্দ্রনাথ লিখলেন-
'কল্যাণীয়ষু,

ইদানীং কেউ কেউ কবির রাজনৈতিক মতামত নিয়ে ঢাউস প্রবন্ধ নিবন্ধের ফর্দ তৈরি করেন। ইনিয়ে-বিনিয়ে বাক্যের নানা ঘুরপ্যাঁচে পাঠকের দৃষ্টিকে একটা স্বস্তিকর উপত্যকায় এনে দাঁড় করানোর কোশেক করেন। কবি যা নন অতিকথনের মাধ্যমে তাকে তা দেখানোর চেষ্টা করেন। এতে পাঠক বিভ্রান্ত হন। বিশেষ করে বর্তমান প্রজন্ম ইংরেজের দুঃশাসনের ব্যাপারে রবীন্দ্রনাথ বরাবরই ছিলেন বাকরুদ্ধ। দুঃশাসকের শিরোমনি পঞ্চম জর্জকে তিনি সম্বোধন করেছিলেন ''ভারতের ভাগ্যবিধাতা রূপে। এই যখন চিত্র, তখন তাকে নিয়ে কতটা পথ হাটা যায়। ভারতবাসীর ইংরেজ বিতাড়নের বিষয়ে প্রস্তুতিপর্বের সমাপ্তির প্রান্তসীমায় এসে পড়েছে। এখানে সেখানে যুদ্ধ। সিপাহী বিপ্লবের রেশ প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে দেশময়। রাজনীতিতে মতপার্থক্য থাকবে। সব মানুষ একমত পোষণ করবে এমনটা কখনো হয় না। এই দিক বিবেচনা করলে রবীন্দ্রনাথ তার মতামতকে স্পষ্টভাবেই প্রকাশ করেছেন। তার এই মত ভারতের স্বাধীনতা আন্দোলনের প্রেক্ষাপটে ইতিবাচক ছিল না।

I must confess unconditionally and unequivocally that you have done a fantastic job yesterday. It was worthwhile to drive all the from my secret hiding place to Medford and attend one of the best cultural evenings that I have ever experienced. It was truly a professional team work with people, who appeared to be very simple but their performance was far better than many professionals. The great irony was that nobody even charged me a dime to get into that beautifully decorated hall. It was rather chilly hall but the stage was decorated with an artistic eye or maybe, four eyes, the third and fourth being the ear and upper chamber of our brain. Thank you all for making us so proud!
Apart from a little hiccup in the beginning, everything flowed as according to that little flyer. It felt like Bangladesh and WB got plenty of talents in Boston. Great drum play by Mr. Mamun while narration was extraordinary with Mr. Bose's deep voice. I had no idea that Mr. Bose is a man of mul-ti talents. His Tagore song rendition was equally great and powerful! I know that Mr. Kabir was one of the true forces in organizing the event by contributing from all sides of his capabilities as I could gather. Great voice with perfect rendition reminded me some true professional singers. Honestly, I did not expect this but there was the man singing so beautifully on stage and my spouse was stunned. Thank you Sir for your true dedication to Tagore's timelessness songs and melodies. Lady singers were equally great and entertaining for my eyes and ears. I would not name any one for the "political" reason. Beautiful voices with beautiful sarees! Mono-mohinis of the paradise, I suppose! (please, pardon me for my sinful expression if you feel offended?). It would be a blasphemous sin if I do not mention two beautiful ladies dancing with Tagore tunes. Yes, it was totally complete and I was having a nirvanic status of mind at no cost. Need I say more?
