This is GREAT! I think we can do it too. This just goes to show what a an honest, genuinely well-meaning politician can do with determination to do good for the people.
Now you see why I took such an interest in Narayanganj City Corp. Mayoral election. This June the newly elected Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy presented her1st budget which included tons of public works, healthcare programs, etc and even a slight surplus!

This was started by the Workers Party. The party rose to prominence through its local innovations.
This is one of 2 recent Brazilian innovations being embraced all over the world. The other is BRT, that was started in Curitiba under its amazing mayor Jaime Lerner.
Jaime Lerner was appointed by the military;but, his amazing work led to his being elected and re-elected after the end of military rule as well.
