A believer needs no evidence to accept certain concepts as truth, be that religious or not, even though it may not meet your criteria of truth. Say for example, Mayan Prophecy of "End of the World on December 21, 2012." Many people believed it as fact, and made preparations for it; many got rushed to the Church to get married in haste, many gathered in Churches and Temples to pray, thousands travelled to Mexico to be at the epicenter there etc., while those who did not believe in the prophecy went about their lives unabated. Now, do you think people who believed in the prophecy of doomsday will learn anything from this experience? Not at all! They will go on to the next prophecies. Religious prophecies are the same. Hindus worship gods and goddesses to seek their boons for earthly benefits. For example, Saraswati is for education, Lakshmi is for wealth, etc. These gods and goddesses are like Cabinet Ministers in the cabinet of God/Ishwar, each one has a definite portfolio. Now, if I ask a believer - how come some people get much more education or wealth without ever worshiping these gods and goddesses? Do you think – they will get or admit the fallacy? Not all! That's a faith-based concept. It is something beyond logic. Therefore, logical discussion on a faith-based concept is useless. Religion is the political wing of theology, which is created by human for exploitation of theology. Religions are Frankensteins for human race, which may bring down civilizations ultimately in order to start afresh with the unadulterated theology, devoid of human politics. Everything is pointing to that direction.

Religious people generally find their God (s) than the truth that we define as truth. While a truth is always relative and turns more refined with us adding and subtracting elements from it all the time. While finding God requires no formal knowledge about anything, a truth requires rigorous experimentation to get to the core of it. As long as religious people keep their noses clean from the true faculty of truth, I got no problem. When they start connecting their religious books as being some kind of revelation of truth, I get furious. That is an outrage! That is a ugly commerce commodity. I understand your frustration with the believers. I think, you do a great job by stating your own positions and thoughts in your arguments. You do not want people' heads on your plates? Do you? Good evening and happy holidays to all Muktomonas! -SD

Mr. Rahman believes that he has found the truth, that's his belief. He can't change his mind on the things he believes in. His efforts are always directed to establish those faiths, even they are illogical. First, one has to accept the premise that prophet or Guru has received revelations from God. Those who do not accept that premise cannot converse with those who do. Then there are some people, like Chakraborty and Manab Dharma, who do not know what they believe in. These people will put forth confusing arguments. What are you going to do? It's a crazy world up there. Jiten Roy --- On Thu, 12/20/12, Kamal Das <kamalctgu@gmail.com> wrote:

When direction was changed (Via God's revelation), he started facing towards Mecca. ... Direction was changed when he was praying on a Saturday along with Jews of Medina. Revelation came from God(alter ego of the prophet) facing ridicule from the Jews in the congregation.
Look Mr. Rahman, stop exhibiting your shallowness even on things you claim to be an expert on. Discuss these with someone of your standard, like Chakrabarty, Hannan, Manabdharma etc. I don't love to post anything for you. I have expressed it so many times. Please do me a favor. Read more and bleat less.
