[mukto-mona] 7 Ladies and Girl students held from Press club: It appears there is no human rights in Bangladesh--editorial

If attending a meeting is crime for women, then our women ministers aren't doing the same daily in Bangladesh? Its time to wake up against this autocratic regime of human rights violation.

7 Ladies and Girl students  held from Press club: It appears there is no human rights in Bangladesh

.
. UNB, Dhaka has reported that Police arrested seven members of Islami Chhatri Sangstha, an associate female body of Jamaat-e-Islami, from the National Press Club area on Saturday.Witnesses said police detained them one after another in between 3:30pm and 5pm when they were coming out of the National Press Club after attending a discussion meeting there. The female organization held the programme yesterday as part of its protest against arrest of its 21 leaders and workers, who were arrested by police from its Moghbazar party office recently.Inspector (investigation) of Shahbagh thana Abdul Jalil confirmed the arrest yesterday.
We are surprised at such crude action. The whole nation has condemned the arrest of college and university students from their organizational  head office at Maghbazar. Now it has been reported that Nari Adhikar Andolon ( Women Rights Movement )organized a protest meeting in VIP lounge of  National Press Club against arresting those girls. In the meeting current woman MP, former woman MP and Mrs Chemon Ara, a participant of language movement participated and spoke. We do not find any reason for  arrest of the girls and ladies including Madam Chemon Ara.
Human rights , it seems, no longer exists in Bangladesh . We ask the Government to restrain the Police and Home Minister who appears to be very aggressive against Islamic forces. We ask all patriotic forces to condemn these actions.
