Though the real number of Muktijoddhas never exceeded forty thousand, 1.2 million certificates were sold duly signed by Osmani.  In the long run, it is the attitude that counts and not who signed what.  Most people, I believe would agree that any body adoring the Hefajoti Amir Allama Shafi and S. A. Hannan as father like and Guru respectively does not have the attitude of a liberation fighter.

He told me that - he just received his certificate recently. I thanked him for his sacrifices for the country. Unfortunately, others told me later on that he was one of the Razakars from that area.   Anyway, you are right, certificate is not the litmus test for the Muktijoddhya.
