How a God tells His followers to kill, plunder and banish if you do not belong to the 'right' religion? Either God is wrong or we humans have gotten it totally wrong? The verses are troubling and need to be modified to make sure that there is no ambiguity exists between what God has conveyed and what he did not. This is 21st century, where knowledge and facts rule!

Yes, what's happening in the Muslim world and middle east are horrible. But remember it has increased many fold after 9/11 and the west military campaign are mostly responsible. and after especially after the failed Iraq invasion to bring democracy there.
My friends, Islam is a religion of peace. As a Muslim,let me say that Muslims do not believe that Islam is a new religion, it's the summation and culmination of all monotheistic religions from Adam to Muhammad.(peace be on all of them). All prophets are prophets of Islam..My feeling was that this debate was an attempt and a total set up to demonize Islam as a religion and Muslims as wanted religious minority in America that goes against the very constitution.
