One likes it or not, Jamat Islam is a very important factor in
politics of Bangladesh. After continuous chase by ruling party
and police brutality, Jamat activists now learned to be more
determined to reach their destination – ruling power.
Both BAL and BNP used & misused Jamat to their interest. BNP
at least treated more humanly by giving portfolio of power and
sharing same nationalism spirit. But actions of BAL with Jamat
was brute & crude. Now, BAL Govt is going to ban Jamat.
On Jamat issue, HE US Ambassador once in Dhaka cautioned that
'banning a political party forces its members to go underground
and they can create more damage then remaining in open politics'
Over 40 years back Jamat leaders acted against dis-integration of
the then motherland Pakistan – against peoples popular mandate.
So long they are paying price for that political blunder. Now, they
are said to be changing their dirty face & façade with a new name.
And this time, it will be for integration of their current motherland
Bangladesh. Brotherhood passed over 50 years ban period before
getting power in Egypt. New Jamati leaders know that history.
Though the writer is unknown in Manab Zamin, but subject is very
sensitive & startling – giving glimpses of power politics. Thinks.

সরকারের কঠোর অবস্থানে চরম বেকায়দায় জামায়াত। যুদ্ধাপরাধে নেতাদের বিচার।
দল নিষিদ্ধ হওয়ার আশঙ্কা। জোট ও নিজেদের মধ্যে মতবিরোধ। একাধিক ইস্যুতে জামায়াত
যখন অস্তিত্ব টিকিয়ে রাখার সংগ্রামে লিপ্ত, তখনই জনমনে আসছে নানান প্রশ্ন। দলের এই চরম
দুর্দিনে কি চায় জামায়াত ? সরকারের সঙ্গে সমঝোতা ? সংঘাত ? নাকি নিষিদ্ধ হওয়া ?
এত সব প্রশ্ন মানুষকে বিভ্রান্ত করলেও এর কোন জবাব মিলছে না। বিভিন্ন সময়ে সরকারের
মন্ত্রীদের বক্তব্যে সমঝোতার বিষয়টি উড়িয়ে দিলেও জামায়াত এ ব্যাপারে নীরব থাকছে।
ফলে মন্ত্রীদের বক্তব্য সহজে কেউ বিশ্বাস করতে চাইছেন না । ………….
