Re: [mukto-mona] Re: Can Avijit's killers be nabbed finally?

The question is whether Awamis were complicit with Avijit and Oyasiqur killings? I do not see any compelling reason for them to kill these people. Besides, we know now who are the putative perpetrators. Why are you trying to question everything when facts are already stacked up against your politically correct views? If you say suddenly that Avijit and Oyasiqur murders were justified, I would not be surprised. Maybe they crossed the line? Maybe, ISIS, Boko-Haram, Al-Shebab and JMB killings are totally justified because 'powerful people' are not addressing the true root causes? I am truly troubled with your line of thinking.

Once I mentioned visible alliance between BNP and JI. I also pointed to the invisible alliance between AL and Islamist parties. One news item in today's bdnews24.com has bolstered my belief. One pro-AL Islamist party has demanded for death penalty for the 'atheists'. They have demanded to repeal law that imposes minimum age for a girl's marriage. They want dance, songs, dramas, etc. to be stopped. They believe that in a country with 90% Muslim population there is a conspiracy to Hinduize the Bengali culture. Many top AL leaders have been found in the past to join their rally against BNP-JI hartal and seize.

As a strategic alliance this is probably OK. Hopefully AL will not be sold out to the extent that it will put the spirits of the great independence war to a great risk.

Religious fanaticism is not an unique product of Bangladesh. It has gone global and by being in denial is not going to help anybody whether you reside in Bangladesh, Middle-East, Europe or US. The monster is there and if you think that Bangladeshi government is the beneficiary of these ugly killings, you must be dreaming about a conspiracy theory? I simply do not believe it. Bangladeshi government is bad but not bad enough to conspire to kill its own freethinkers. The motive is not strong enough like the brainwashing treatments that people getting from their religious masters.
