This was not an ordinary catcall or taunting; it was a pre-planned attack on women by an orchestrated gang. The offense was - these women were returning from the Pahela Boishakh celebration, and they were not wearing hijab. So, this incidence has nothing to do with religion, it has everything to do with the Bengali culture, which is at odd with the culture these attackers long to import in Bangladesh.
This incidence must not be treated lightly.
