What word, do you not understand? The word might have been created in the west to coin a complex term but it is truly amazing that the American founders, Jefferson and Adams could produce such political science and put that in practice.... some two hundred years ago. Do you know what your forefathers were doing around that time? Do you think world would need your wise advice when you have already failed in your own backyard and rather ready to to eat mud for an American or European green card?

Without getting into the politics, what is Secularism? A fancy,fabricated word made up by western non believers? If the meaning of this word is as above, then we have a problem.To a believer,anyone rejects religious faith and worship is nothing but "Infidel" or "Kaffir".Now a days, lots of us singing the same tune with those western infidels or kaffir.However, I do agree with you, since when Mrs.Khaleda Zia became such a pious person?

Who is this Khaleda Zia to complain about the Bangladesh Parliament, whether there is any Quran recitation or not? She is not even a member of the Parliament. When she was the member, she would not go there for months, and now, not being a member, she feels for the Parliament; her corrupt heart bleeds!
In any case, why should there be any Quran recitation, when the country is constitutionally secular? Her illiterate mind does not understand the significance of secularism. This is the tragedy for Bangladesh that it is led by total bonkers.

বাংলা ট্রিবিউন রিপোর্ট।।সংসদে কোরআন তিলাওয়াত হয় না বলে অভিযোগ করেছেন বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন খালেদা জিয়া। মঙ্গলবার রোজায় রাজধানীর ইস্কাটনে লেডিস ক্লাবে ২০-দলীয় জোটের শরিক বাংলাদেশ লেবার পার্টির ইফতারে অংশ নিয়ে খালেদা জিয়া এ কথা বলেন।তিনি বলেন, 'জাতীয় সংসদে কোনো আলোচনা হয় না। সংসদে কোনও এজেন্ডা থাকে না। এটা গান-বাজনার আসর হয়ে গেছে। সংসদে বিরোধী দল বলে কিছু নেই। সেখানে পবিত্র কোরআন তিলাওয়াত হয় না।'বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন বলেন, সীমান্তে প্রতিনিয়ত মানুষ খুন হচ্ছে। সরকার অপদার্থ, অবৈধ। তাই তারা কোনও প্রতিবাদ তো করবেই না, অন্যকেও প্রতিবাদ করতে দিবে না।তিনি বলেন, সীমান্ত রক্ষাকারী বাহিনী বলে আজ আর কিছু নেই। সেখানে তাদের কোনও অবস্থান আছে কি-না, বলা মুশকিল। তারা শুধু জনগণের ট্যাক্সের টাকায় কেনা গুলি জনগণের বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবহার করছে।সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, 'আজ মিয়ানমারের সঙ্গেই আমাদের সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনী পারে না। অথচ আমাদের সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনী কত চৌকস ছিল, আপনারা জানেন।'খালেদা জিয়া বলেন, জাতিকে পুরোপুরি ধ্বংস করার লক্ষ্যে ষড়যন্ত্র করে পরিকল্পিতভাবে আওয়ামী লীগকে ক্ষমতায় বসানো হয়েছে। এখন তাদের দীর্ঘদিন ক্ষমতায় রাখারও চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে। দেশের বর্তমান অবস্থা থেকে উত্তরণের একমাত্র পথ হলো নির্বাচন এবং সেই নির্বাচনে সব দলের অংশগ্রহণ নিশ্চিত করা।তিনি বলেন, প্রশাসনে ভালো ভালো কর্মকর্তাদের ডিঙিয়ে দলীয় লোকদের পদোন্নতি দেওয়া হচ্ছে। পুলিশ প্রশাসন আইনশৃঙ্খলার ধার ধারছে না। দেশে মানবাধিকার বলে কিছু নেই।বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন বলেন, আজ জনগণকে সজাগ হতে হবে। যারা দেশকে ভালোবাসেন, পরিবারকে ভালোবাসেন, মুক্তিযুদ্ধকে সম্মান করেন, তাঁদের জেগে উঠতে হবে। অন্যায়, জুলুম, অগণতান্ত্রিক সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে লড়তে হবে। তবেই দেশে শান্তি-শৃঙ্খলা ও গণতন্ত্র ফিরে আসবে।ইফতার অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন লেবার পার্টির চেয়ারম্যান মোস্তফিজুর রহমান ইরান। অনুষ্ঠানে খালেদা জিয়ার সঙ্গে ছিলেন এলডিপির অলি আহমদ, জাতীয় পার্টির মোস্তফা জামাল হায়দার, জামায়াতে ইসলামীর আমীনুল ইসলাম, ইসলামী ঐক্যজোটের আবদুল লতিফ নেজামী, খেলাফত মজলিশের মুহাম্মদ ইসহাক, জাগপার শফিউল আলম প্রধান, এনডিপির খন্দকার গোলাম মুর্তজা, ন্যাপের গোলাম মোস্তফা ভুঁইয়া, ন্যাপ-ভাসানীর আজহারুল ইসলাম, বিজেপির সালাহউদ্দিন মতিন প্রকাশ, সাম্যবাদী দলের সাঈদ আহমেদ, জমিয়তে উলামা ইসলামের মহিউদ্দিন ইকরাম, পিপলস লীগের গরীবে নেওয়াজ, মুসলিম লীগের এএইচএম কামরুজ্জামান খান, কল্যাণ পার্টির এমএম আমিনুর রহমান, গণস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের জাফরুল্লাহ চৌধুরী, লেবার পার্টির মহাসচিব হামদুল্লাহ আল মেহেদি।২০ দলীয় জোট নেতাদের মধ্যে রিদওয়ান উল্লাহ শাহিদী, খন্দকার লুৎফর রহমান, মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান মোস্তফা, সৈয়দ মাহবুব হোসেন, সাহাদাত হোসেন সেলিম, শেখ জুলফিকার বুলবুল চৌধুরী, শামীম বিন সাঈদী, ফরিদ উদ্দিন, লোকমান হাকিম, ইমদাদুল হক, ফারুক রহমান, মাহমুদ খান ইফতারে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
