You did not get the connotation of the adjective 'romantic' in this case. Khomeini was not a romantic revolutionary. He and his followers were a determined, committed and organized group. As I have mentioned before, Comrade Abdul Haque was a romantic revolutionary. He retained the name East Pakistan Communist Party even several years after liberation of Bangladesh in the hope there would come a day when with help from local pro-Pakistani political parties like Muslim League would free East Pakistan from the Indian colony.
