Re: [mukto-mona] Thousand and One Muslim Inventions That Shaped the World

"The 'Thousand and One Inventions' exhibition currently being showcased in the UK turns the spotlight on the golden era of Islamic civilization highlighting its scientific temperament and achievements and its contribution to Western renaissance."
Glorious scientific inventions were made in the medieval Islamic years, but such scientific innovations also remarkably halted prematurely in the Islamic world? What happened? Could someone explain that?
In contrast, Christian and Jewish scientists kept going non-stop even after the Western scientific renaissance giving amazing discoveries for centuries. This is the question Muslims need to ask to themselves, in my view.

A number of inventions were made in the medieval Islamic world, a geopolitical region that has at various times extended from Spain and Africa in the west to Afghanistan and the Indian subcontinent in the east.
