Subject: A Soldier's Debt

An exciting story of how a loyal soldier turns rebel and fights for his country's independence to pay a debt to the dead and suffering millions at the hands of the Pakistan military in 1971.

A Soldier's Debt is the story of a loyal soldier, an army captain, who learns of the gruesome facts about the military atrocities against the people of his community in East Pakistan and becomes a rebel. He vows to avenge the death of those millions, a soldier's debt for the victims. After three failed attempts, including one with an air force jet (he was a former trainee pilot), he escapes from Lahore in a military Jeep through own deployments and reaches Bangladesh war front to swing the guns against the very killers he once swore to serve.

It was in the backdrop of when Pakistan's military dictator General Yahya Khan refused to honor the majority verdict in which East Pakistan's popular leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was chosen to lead Pakistan. Instead, he ordered Operation Searchlight on March 25, 1971, aimed at killing the Bengalis and crushing for good their future aspirations. Within weeks, hundreds of thousands of unarmed innocents were exterminated and thousand of women violated. The Guinness Book of Records lists Bangladesh tragedy of 1971 as one the top five genocides of the twentieth century. Yet, sadly, it seems a forgotten chapter to many. The book tries to revive that memory.

In A Soldier's Debt, the reader will relive the period and walk with the soldier through intense internal conflicts, emotional turmoils, tensed jiffies, thrilling experiences, exciting battle actions, as well as sad moments. The memoir is tailored for all ages and all nationalities.

The book  is available at Amazon www.amazon.com/dp/1517461103).
