Let us see if the spree of murders of secularists, humanists etc in Bangladesh is really contained by this policy of arming police with firearms, or this is another of AL's bluff. The AL had been playing politics with these murders of secularists and foreigners.
The idiot 'prince' of the AL said that they cannot side with the atheists when innocent atheists are being murdered.  The idiot does not understand that a murder is a murder and it must be investigated regardless of the character of the victim and the criminals must be punished. Since the AL government had been either complicit or turned a blind eye to these murders, the murderers - whether BNP or Jamaati or IS goons - became emboldened and now killing policemen in check posts. Soon they will attack police stations and snatch away arms and ammunition to attack and kill government officials and then the AL leaders. We will then say that we cannot side with the depraved AL leaders.
