I have to say that I find the arguments put forward by that lady in the video clip are very compelling and extremely relevant. I had been saying the same things to many of my friends in the West and, indeed, many of my Muslim friends have come to see the light of the day..
I wrote a number of articles in various newspapers raising the question, why is it that none of the rich Middle Eastern Muslim countries - Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries - is taking any of the refugees from Syria and Iraq? These Muslim countries (propagating Wahhabism) are the root causes of the death, destruction and suffering of millions of people. Only today IS has claimed the responsibility of killing more than 50 people and injuring more than 100 when suicide bomber blew themselves in a Shia mosque outside Damascus. Over a million and half Muslims have taken refuge in the lands of infidels in Europe.
Without going into the sharp argument of who created IS, I can safely say that prime motivator of IS brutality is the intra-religious rivalry. Even if the West or Israel had created IS, why are the Muslims so stupid to start killing each other? Hasn't Saudi Arabia got anything to do when she encourages Sunnis to eliminate Shias? Isn't intra-religious and inter-religious killing increasing even in Bangladesh?
If we fail to diagnose the problem or deliberately hide the symptoms, the problem will never get solved.

Although, the lady in the video should be commended by all fair-minded Muslims (?) for speaking their mind, but they may not do so. This is why.
I believe every one of those fair-minded Muslims knows what's happening in the world in the name of their religion is no one, but their religion, to blame. But, it is hard to admit. So, they try to blame others for all the misdeeds being done in the name of their religion, and feel relieved from the guilt. This phenomenon is unique in the followers of Islam.
I have never seen a Hindu blaming others for the past heinous atrocities and misdeeds (Satidaha, Noraboli, Caste hatred, etc.) done in the name of their religion. In fact, they admit those guilts and denounce them as strongly as they can, just like this lady did in the video. In this regard, this video is extra-ordinary.
But, Farida Majid could not appreciate it; it's because criticism from within Muslim about her religion is much more damaging to her beloved religion. So, she is trying to downplay the importance of this video exchange. She is one of those who think everything happening in the name of her religion is someone else's fault. What she did not realize is that – this is the internet era, and there are millions of smart people on the net, who might find the powerful exchange unprecedented. The fact is - we may not find too many exchanges like this in the future.
Once again, let me paraphrase what Farida Majid has been saying recently – don't circulate embarrassing messages of Islam, and if you still do - you are Islamophobe. She often blame members of Mukto-mona as bunch of Islamophobes.

I also think that it would be better if the person who posted a link wrote a comment or two about the subject of the link. However, I believe Ms. Majid is actually smart enough to see why this post by Mr. Guha is worth watching, especially by people who seem the blame the West for the woes of the Middle Eastern barbarians. Clearly, those people in the Middle East have been killing and committing atrocities on their own people for thousands of years for the nonsense of their religions; and Islam is actually only one of three such religions, with an additional problem of Shia vs Sunni. Just think, how long the Shia vs Sunni hatred has been in action! Just think, is the West the root cause of the inter-religion and inter-sect hatred in the Middle East, or the West has been taking advantage of the hatred that already existed there for thousands of years? And how long has the West been taking such advantage, not more than a few hundred years, right?
