Re: [mukto-mona] Bhasani showing his love for Pakistan's unity

To some imbeciles, these heinous rape acts were considered as divine blessings for the betterment of our gene pool? The mentality has not changed that much from those slavery days.

Again, I think there is a severe shortage of honest politicians and intellectuals in Bangladesh. The fact was that all major Bangalee leaders of that time (~1970) wanted to keep Pakistan intact (with no Bangladesh). If the West Pakistani leaders acted somewhat reasonably and did not start the genocide in East Bengal in 1971, an undivided Pakistan (with no Bangladesh) would have lasted for quite some time, if not even today.

Think about this: In October 1971, a Pakistani military officer goes to Rokeya Hall of Dhaka University and asks the provost to provide some students (young women) for entertaining his men in the cantonment. Obviously, the provost refuses. Then the military officer comes back with a gang of his men. They strip and rape the girls in front of the provost before abducting them; 300 of those girls were recovered after the independence of Bangladesh on December 1971. What do you think about the girls who were in the dorm in October 1971? I think they and their families had a good deal of loyalty and trust for the keepers of an intact Pakistan. My common sense tells me that if the Banglalee fanatics of an intact Pakistan had any sense of self-respect, this action by the Pakistani military (with no punishment for the military men from their higher authorities) would have made them most disgusted with their brothers from the west. They would have disliked their barbarian brothers more than the average pro-Bangladesh person did. But, obviously, the pro-Pakistan religious brotherhood fanatics have no character; and they do not get disgusted with barbaric acts even on their own sisters, as long as those acts are done to preserve/promote a Muslim nation.

An Urdu speech by Mr. Bhasani in 1970! His appeal to Yahya for Pakistan's future and unity. This should expose the lies that have been spread by BNP/Jamat cadres as Bhasani being the true champion of Bangladeshi independence.
