Dear Musharraf,

I like the beautiful view of the fruit trees and buildings and beautiful sky from your window of your sweet home in Dhaka city. Thank you for your Boishakhi greetings for me and for my family. Same greetings to you and to your family.

Regarding Boishakhi, I have a different view. I think about the position of our beloved planet Earth and its enormously multi-faceted dancing modes, and the apparent movement of the Sun in the Celestial Sphere along the zodiac constellations as observed from the Earth, as the Earth spins 360 degrees in 23h-56m making it a Sidereal day and a little more angle in 4 more minutes to make it 24 h to see the sun at the same angle again, causing every 4th year as leap year to feed that extra day into February that is made up of those accumulated 4 minutes as it orbits around the sun in an elliptical path in 365 spins and about 6 hours but losing the leap year every 100-th year making 2100 or 2200 or 2300 as non-leap-years even-though these are 4-th years, but gaining that extra day back again every 400-th year, making 2400 as a leap year again, and as its spinning axis precesses like a symmetric-top, moving away from our favorite North Star Polaris with a 26,000 years period, when June will become shivering cold winter and December will become a hot summer for us in the Northern hemisphere and April (Boishakh) will become October Fall season only in 13,000 years from now, and as the Earth rides in the Merry-Go-Round along with the Solar system family around the Black-hole center of the Milky Way Galaxy with a 250 million years period, on its way to visit the neighboring Andromeda galaxy at a relatively slow speed. On April 14, the Sun appears to be at a location in one of the 12 constellations of the zodiac as observed from the Earth, which is continuously changing with time, and which will show a different position from a different sight at the same time. So, what are we celebrating ??? Let me be a little more generous about this sentiment. It is ok to celebrate one moment of it (April 14 Boishakh) or to celebrate every moment of the amazing journey of our beloved planet Earth as blessings of the Lord of the Universe in His amazingly amazing design !!!
