[mukto-mona] The idiosyncratic remarks of the top brasses and the abstruse silence of the supporters on the killings in Bangladesh

There has always been an apathy displayed by the chieftains of the present Bangladesh government concerning the killings of so many secular intellectuals recently by the perpetrators belonging to Islamic terrorist organizations. All the chieftains should have been concerned and troubled by the horrific incidences of ruthlessness and viciousness of the relentless crimes committed by the sadistic assassins. They should have taken appropriate steps to bring the killers to book. On the contrary, the bigwigs make attempts to blame the victims for expressing their opinion. In an unvarying fashion, they trivialize the killings by initiating some unnecessary controversies on the articles or essays or write-ups or comments made by the victims on a particular dogma that is so inflexible according to the belief system of the adherents.

The intellectual allies of the government are perplexed by watching the idiosyncrasies of the top brasses as portrayed by their remarks after every incidence of the recent killings. The bizarre mode of actions and behavior of the government higher ups and the abstruse silence of the supporters have been analyzed in a well-written column by Mr. Fazlul Bari in "Bangla Tribune".  Please read.
